Can the Mini Cooper be tuned to be a truly competitive car? I mean, with all the HP upgrades and everything, it probably still can't reach 500 HP, right? Basically, what I'm asking is, can it be used as a "generic" racing car?

Actually, with a turbo the most it will make is 170hp.

I have a fully NA tuned one that I pretty much don't have to lift off with - it will win quite a few of the races in Beginner mode.

I guess the thing with GT3 is that it's not just about 1000hp+ GT-Ones - it's about the complete driving experience, from F1 cars to 60hp 1960's front drivers. Just appreciate it.

The thing I've found with the Mini is, just like the real one, it is a hoot to drive.

Agreed. It's fun to drive, and makes for neat replays (though, very slow replays).

Ha!

Have you seen how the camera can't keep up with the F1 cars? Just like real life.

She used to be a world cup winner during the late 50's and early 60's... She wiped out lots of competitors until the Escort MK1 showed up.

I love those babies in real life. I had one back in 1997 (a Mini Cooper 1,3) and it was like driving a go-kart !! Too bad parts are scarce and very expensive here. I had to sell it away when I decided that the aggrevation caused by looking for parts is more than the fun and joy of driving her.

But yessir, she is one neat piece of machinery for her time.

The cameras on the F1s ... I've noticed this as well. Quite humorous.

Someone in another post mentioned that the Mini Cooper is the greatest car of all time. It was in production for over 20 years with no major design changes. Pretty impressive. I like the looks of the new one a lot too.

My favorite minis were in GT2, come on the normal one was modded to 191 brake and had a cool racing mod, and the special model one was even faster!

Nothing on Earth corners like a Mini, cept maybe a go-kart.I'm seriously considering buying 1.....a Mini that is,not a go-kart or that car BMW has labelled as a Mini. :)
