I have the Asus A8V Deluxe and it says I can only use 1.5v agp cards. I looked at the 6800 ultra and its 3.3v :banghead: , what can i do? Thanks for your help.

the 6800 ultra is nvidia's new top of the line, right? I never really figured out the Nvidia numbers :(. Anyways, If that's the one, it requires that you connect an extra molex power connector to the video card itself

From what I know it is, but newegg just has 3.3v cards, I need a 6800 ultra with 1.5v specs, I just saw pictures of the card with 1.5v spec, but the online stores ive been at just looks like a 3.3, why dont they tell what type it is? Thanks for your help on this matter 👍

i doubt they'd have a 6800 ultra with jus 1.5v specs. they should all be 3.3v and require that you connect the PSU to them for power from what I know about them

Thats 1.5v spec if im not mistaken.

Listen up, supra.

The 3.3v is for the cooling fan and the 222 million transistors on the 6800. It has nothing to do with the 1.5v AGP voltage.

All 6800 cards require at least one molex to be connected to the PSU to power the fan and the card itself. The 6800 Ultra requires two. (as you can see by the pictures you posted)

There are not "two versions" of the 6800. All 6800s use 1.5v for the AGP slot and 3.3v to power the card. You are just being confused by the specifications.
