I will look in to it today. Either way guys. Everyone will need to Pit. The Pit stop is a most for every Race.

I really don't understand why pit stops are a must, they can't be governed. It should be here's the track there's the car lets race, up to you how you race your race.

Gives the other Drivers a chance to catch up. I feel wee should pit.

Yeah they're catch up and then have to go into the pits themselves haha

In an hour Race it's either going to be a no stop or one stop strategy, I feel it would add a lot more drama and excitement to the races if people were running different tactics.

2x tire wear probably would force a pitstop, it would be close on the hard compound but I think you'd still need to pit.

TBH, I don't like accelerated tyre wear/fuel usage. We could maybe increase the race length to 70 minutes. That would leave us more options with the strategy. Which tyre has to be used? Is it worth to go with hard tires or is it better to stop? That would make it far more interesting than accelerated wear/fuel usage. The cars are more predictable with real wear/fuel usage

Edit: Can we already choose our car/team name/livery or do we have to wait until every team is fix?

Pit stops will have to be in as some cars won't last the hour for fual due to there smaller fual tanks.

Yes increase race length is a good idea

So how are you going to steward it, This is the problem.

Its ok saying pitstops are a must, But unless we are guaranteed everyone pits the problem is still here.

x2 tyre wear still punishes people who want to do a sprint strategy.

The simplest and probably best way to do this is to set it to real and leave it to the drivers to decide what strategy they want to run.

I think the only way is longer races, id be happy with that. Then we know for sure everyone would have to pit.

EDIT: like say 45 laps at Road A

Yes looking at the fual tanks the mclaren has 130 most 120 z4 has 105 along with with Aston 106, id suggest increasing distance to 45 laps road and 60 laps shorter tracks so as to make sure all have to pit for fual, then nobody can possibly cheat.

Longer races would force a pitstop as Zak says, still don't understand why we need a mandatory pitstop but that would be the best way to go about it I think.

Also the Ruf has a 140 litre tank.

Yes, I think we should avoid post-race arguing if we can. We don't want people calling each other cheaters and people accusing others for doing a thing they perhaps haven't done as there is no way to get the full facts of what went done during the race.

Let's just all skip that.

Has anyone filled up the tanks and ran some laps to determine how long a tank of fuel lasts? If need be I can test it on PC as I have the DashMeterPro and it calculates fuel consumption and estimates total laps/tank.

Ruf is 120 I've just double checked

That would be great except that all the different cars have different mpg and fuel tanks, so you'd have to test each one to see which lasts the longest.

There's a small chance that the Aston with its v12 might only do 30 laps for example on a full tank, while the Ruf can do 35.

Looks like a few people skip reading post 3315.

1 hour 30 - 45 min races should solve it, I've done 100 % on f1 games and it goes by really quickly anyway.

I think we just need to work on having more laps to solve the problem

Agreed just Do 45 laps road and spa rest probably 60 will solve it, mclaren even with it's 130 tank will still have to pit for fual. You also open up strategy then do you start light or heavy on fual

Does anyone know if the mclaren is any more fuel efficient with its turbo engine?

Fr

Maybe slightly but not massively. It would not do 45 laps at road I'm sure

45 laps at spa 4.5l per lap in Mclaren. 202.5L. its away to much laps. 45 laps by 2.20 average = 1hr 40mins way too long.

Races about 80 minutes long should make sure you can't do it without refuelling. And it's not too long
