That would be great except that all the different cars have different mpg and fuel tanks, so you'd have to test each one to see which lasts the longest.

There's a small chance that the Aston with its v12 might only do 30 laps for example on a full tank, while the Ruf can do 35.
All I need to do is fill the tank, run a few laps and the app does all the calculations for me. Once you figure out what the differences are, you can use that data to decide what direction you want to go. If they all last less than 50 minutes for example, just make your races 60 minutes or longer and everyone has to pit. If they all last 90 minutes or longer, you can skip pit stops, or you can increase tire wear so that the tires don't last 90 minutes and you have to pit.

45 laps at spa 4.5l per lap in Mclaren. 202.5L. its away to much laps. 45 laps by 2.20 average = 1hr 40mins way too long.
40 laps spa then, I've done longer than 1hour 40 in league races b4 and it goes by fast and doesn't feel to long, min distance maybe 1h 30 sounds perfect to me.

The mclaren would probably get at road 7 extra laps with it's tank as a rough guess. Making it 45 just makes sure.

Just my 2 cents
I read somewhere that the GT3 tire wear was way off and the Devs were working on it . not sure if that is this patch or not

Yes looking at the fual tanks the mclaren has 130 most 120 z4 has 105 along with with Aston 106, id suggest increasing distance to 45 laps road and 60 laps shorter tracks so as to make sure all have to pit for fual, then nobody can possibly cheat.

I think we just need to work on having more laps to solve the problem

Races about 80 minutes long should make sure you can't do it without refuelling. And it's not too long

Sounds good guys. The Races are now 1 Hour 30 Minutes long. We need to adjust Track Laps for 1 hour 30 mins

You shouldn't give out a solution until we know the extent of the problem. Fuel millage has so many more variables than how big a tank is. I'll do some testing at Road America and post my results. We also have 2 full weeks until the first race, everyone relax.

Yeah if you're behind someone looking to overtake you might be giving them more space in the braking zones by coasting, and on the straights you're have less drag which will reduce fuel consumption. Loads of variables like Ozwheels says, we should look into it more before coming to a solution, and that's just small stuff. On a smaller track like Brands Hatch I assume that as it's a slower track fuel consumption is going to be much lower than on a track like Road America which has lots of high speed sections.

I'm happy to do help out with any testing that needs to be done.

No your right OZ. Let's test the fuel mileage out. The Tracks are still calculated for 1 hour in Laps.

Yeah that was a good race, got a few bumps here and there but nothing intentional which is good.

Oh and I managed a really sweet overtake on the hairpin

Nice one!! Do you have the full race? Upload it if you do and mention me mate so i can watch it cheers!

Some arse used me as brakes in that hairpin on the first lap and screwed my car :(

Sorry I only managed to record half of it, that was pretty much the only bit of action I had in the whole race as well tbh, my other overtakes were just when people had spun.

If we do anymore races I'll try and record them.

Naughty naughty!! See you online for more close racing xkubunt!! And ok @MrMattAdz it was a good race, and i won after an early spin, pulled off a sweet move or 2 as well.... See you for more will be online tomorrow!!!

Yeah it's no surprise that we were all a tier below you, once you were clear you kept gaining half a second each lap.

I've just done a test in the Audi (120 litre tank) and 20 litres will go to around 7 laps which would mean a full tank is 35 laps. But I was pushing for most of those laps, now with race pace being a little slower when you account for traffic it would probably make a full tank last a little longer.

Whereas the Z4 has a 105 litre tank and from what I've experienced it gets similar performance on 20 litres of fuel so would only get to around 28/29 laps before running out.

However the tyres are not likely to last 30 laps, I think these will start to have problems before people risk running out of fuel. I think the softs lasted me around 20 laps before I started losing a large chunk of time, people can use the hard tyres but realistically they will be slower anyway so over the whole distance it will probably negate around the time a pitstop would take.

I am working on the fuel situation, with some real data. It should be done by tonight hopefully.

Wow I've missed alot. Man sorry guys. Been helping my brother in law with the loss of his wife. It's been crazy.

sorry for the loss david

On the fuel front. You should not have longer race but there is a 2x option for tire wear that would push driver to go to the pits in a 1 hour race.
