Yeah but kie25 reckons he can run 45 laps in a single stint, if it's possible then 32 laps isn't enough to force everyone to pit.

I didn't say 45 I said mclaren can do 35 so making it at least 40 makes sense.

If he can that's great for him, I know for a fact I can't and we shouldn't add 15 laps because one person can make it last.

We should do the first round as planned and if it becomes an issue we can address it after the first race. Hopefully the mandatory stop option gets added in the patch :) even if people do a drive through they still take the time loss but if it works like single player they will need to change tyres.

Edit; why not make it 35?

I don't think anyone is actually listening, the mclaren will do 35 laps without pitting for fual the Z4 won't.

They all have very similar range though, if the McLaren can do 35 then I expect the other cars can as well. Yes the McLaren has the largest fuek tank but its also has the highest fuel consumption.

tested the mclaren it does more laps than the Aston and z4 with it's tank, it's a simple choice 27 laps no stops 40 laps upto the driver what they do. The whole reason for the discussion is what Zak has brought up that there is no way off proving if people have stopped.

Actually to begin with races were supposed to be an hour and a half, we had a poll halfway through in which the majority of people voted for an hour Race time.

I joined when it was an hour and a half, but I did vote for an hour race time as I thought it would make it easier for people to take part.

Yes. I joined too when it was an hour and a half. Not long after it was voted on by the majority of people who are in the series that it should be changed to an hour. It's been 1hr races for weeks now.

Yes but how can we prove everyone pits that's why this is being discussed. There is no way in making pit stops mandatory. Lowering laps to 27 seems the best option then for road. So race distance stays at around 1h and we can all finish without going in the pits.

Well we will just need to not force pits until we got more online lobby options.

Can we stop this discussion now? The answer is until we get the patch we don't know, they may add the mandatory option then this won't matter.

Stalliono gets the choice but I think we should stay as close to an hour as we can.

Everyone will drive differently some will be able to get 35 laps out of their cars others won't it's a question of ability, style and consistency. Majority of drivers will have to pit for tyres or fuel (some both) and we shouldn't change the rules too radically.

Until the days running up to June 21st it doesn't matter, we can work it out then. I don't agree with making the distance any lower however, we should leave it at 30. Or add a couple of extra laps.

That's what we have said but laps on road will need lowering to around 27 so that all cars can finish without re fualing.

At 2.10min laps (I'm tier 3 btw) that's 59min and 30 seconds if I'm not mistaken?

Looks like there might be DLC on Tuesday (9th June) are we going to allow the Bentley Continental GT3 in the series?

If so it might be worth finalising the date for car picks around the 15th/16th June.

Edit: I'm pretty sure our team won't be using it but it's worth giving a bit of extra time if it is released in case people do want to use it. Keeps the field more varied as well!

Well that sounds about right also your 1st lap will be slower and you ain't going to hit perfect laps every lap so if the range was about 57- 1h seems a good distance then for road. We are going to have to see what patch brings anyway as it will probably bring faults with it along with fixes, so will need a good testing 1st.

Sounds good guys. The Races are now 1 Hour 30 Minutes long. We need to adjust Track Laps for 1 hour 30 mins
Oh come on. 1.5 hour races. As a rookie I think 1 hour is just pretty tough. Now you talking about 1.5 to 2 hours. Have in mind that not all users here are experienced the way the pros are.
Some of them just have a nickname with "pro" in it! ;)

Way to long in between picks. So i will pick @Jeremy White next Teammate. He picks @Daniel Pinho

@ozwheels thank you for testing each car for Fuel. Guys the Races, Laps will be added to make sure you Pit. At the most, 2 to 6 Laps isn't going to hurt anyone. Now the final Race at Nurburgring. That Track needs to be tested so you need to Pit. That Race will be 1 Hour and 45 Minutes long.

@killerramsay it's your turn to pick

No more talks about Fuel and Pitting. It's solved. You do not Pit, you will be PENALIZED the 1st Time. The 2nd Time you dont Pit. Your SUSPENDED for 1 Race. The 3rd time your removed from the Series. You don't respect the Rules, you don't Respect me or your fellow Racers. Not hard to spot if someone doesn't Pit. For example, 1st places finishes 20 seconds ahead of 2nd. Well 1st place didn't Pit.

The 1st Page has been updated about Pitting. Most Races are over an Hour long. So you will need to Pit. Pretty much you will waste over an Hour of your time Racing. So please, stop trying to hustle your way out of Pitting. Everyone will need to PIT

To empty my fuel tank took me 69 minutes (in the Audi R8). So with race length of 80 minutes, we can make sure that no one can make it without pitting. That would be 36/37 laps at Road America. That's the minimum and also not too long for the rookies.

I don't think it's that easy to spot and personally I don't think you can have a rule that cannot be 100% checked.

That example you have does not prove anything, what if diver 2 had an major off with damage so driver 1 wins by 30s and did pit, you would say he never pit?

You either need to have optional pits or make the races long enough so that everyone needs to pit imo

No more talks about Pitting please. To be honest i'm getting a headache. What needs to be done today. The Teams, Cars and everything else today. This is the 3rd Day. It's dragging on way too long. The Pitting will be handled. Again no more talks about PITTING! Start forming the Teams. I'm sure others want to know what their Racing in.

Interesting that there isn't much difference between fuel usage at full tank vs with 20 litres. I'd have thought it would have been more than 0.2L.

Looks like most cars are doing around 31 laps on a tank though, if we account for mistakes and differences between us we may not get that much though.
The weight saving is balaced by the extra speed, lighter car uses less fuel but goes faster and thus uses up that saved fuel, these things are researched and implemented by strategic genius's

Who on earth would call themselves pro? Especially when theyre not a member of the best team in the series

Edit; GO TEAM ZEYDSBOYS

Le Mans Race length
The 3rd Double Point Race
August 23rd Laps 36 2hrs 30mins+

Grand Finale and 4th Double Point Race
August 30th
Nordschiefe
Laps 25 3hrs+

Needs tweaking..

Other circuits need more laps. Just saying.

Yes that needs the proper Laps.

Are we planning to log points to the manufacturers as well? So that by the end of the series we'll know the most successful drivers, teams and cars?

Yes we can do this. We can do Top 10 Manufacturers after each Race get Points.
It would be nice if we could do a couple of non-points races before the actual season starts to see how this plays out with fuel and pit stops.

Sure you guys can hold Races. You all can do it now. Right now i'm cutting grass.

@FIL140 What times are you running at Road America?

We've been organising them in the other thread for the past few weeks, drop a message in there and you should get a good few people joining :)

@Magrathea_42 are you on the PSN chat? If not what's your PSN and I'll add you in. Lots of regular racing going on in there. Nothing large scale as yet.

Pitting
You must Pit, at least once in the Race. If you don't Pit, one you may run out of Gas 2nd you will be penalized. There will be 3 types of Warnings for not Pitting.
1st Warning- a 20 Point deduction from your Solo Points and Your Team Point Standings as well.
2nd Warning- Your SUSPENDED for 1 Race and a 40 Point Deduction on Solo and Team Points
3rd Warning- Your kicked from the Series, plus your Team will be PENALIZED 100 Points

When you Pit. You need to change all 4 Tires. Fuel get what you need to finish the Race on. You can Pit as much as you want for Rain Tires, Fix Damage and whatever else you need.
Also, when exiting Pit road. Stay inside the white lines, until traffic is clear. Do not pass on over to the Track when exiting pit road.

I know I'm a thorn in Stalliono side but he is not listening. I'm not happy. I can race the whole series without changing tyres saving me time in pits to gain on track. Now can anyone see the smoking gun!!!
