well this is my answer to campers. Its going to happen I dont think it is bad I think it can be annoying these are my reasons why.
1. There are a lot of new players that may take a cautious approach to moving around the map.
2. It is a viable strategy when playing the game I by know means think COD is a military simulator (neither is Battlefield for that matter) but to be very honest it is a strategy that can be used it is up to you as ''better gamer to figure out ways to alleviate it. Use your maps pay attention if someone keeps killing you use the Revenge deathstreak to pinpoint that guy out.

This guy kinda makes my point when talking about the maps

I don't think it has much to do with new players, for them it's just a way to get killstreaks.

You may be correct saying it's a strategy like any other but how can you get that feeling of playing as a team when you're just sitting in a corner (By 'you', I didn't mean you :))

There is a difference between playing intelligently and conservatively versus going prone in a hallway, staring at a door with a Shotgun, and waiting. And then you have objective driven games, like Domination (or what have you) where you will see the same behavior, and it will cost the team the match because a player refused to move from his "spot."

Camping is like saying "I am so horrible, the only way I can string together 4 kills is by sitting in one spot waiting for someone to come into my line of sight." It's not a viable strategy, it's a cop-out for stat whores and people who just plain suck. Congrats, you managed to have a 2-3-4:1 KDR by using as little skill as possible. Now, to make myself clear, this only applies to people who almost NEVER move away from the same 1 or 2 spots in a match, and sit aimed down the sights the entire time. Having a UAV up and waiting around a corner for like 5 seconds for someone you know is there is fine, if you're sitting there for 15 seconds that's a bit excessive.

Oh my god, some of the guys from the Delta Force are soooooo bad ass in survival mode.
One guy elbowed an enemy in the face, threw him over his shoulder, and then took out some side arm and shot him in the face, three times.

Anybody have any good Survival Mode strategies?
What's your favorite map?

Yes. Run around and shoot them :p lol jk
I like Underground for MP and maybe Survival mode too I guess.

And I just finished the Campaign, and the last mission sooooooooooo EPIC.

Can't wait to see the ending. I'm about halfway through, maybe less (3 hours in). I love the whole story of the trilogy.

The best thing I like about MW in general is the engine. It's amazing compared to WAW and Black Ops which sucks. I can't really explain the differences but Treyarch's one seems gritty while Infinity Wards one seems smooth and precise.

Can you guys register for elite yet? It still fails upon registration for me :/.

I would love to join, if the service ever works.

Its gonna take time for ELITE to be up and running dueto the influx of players. Granted maybe they should have anticipated this a little more but whats done is done. They are currently working on the problem those of you that get Founders status the deadline has been extended and premium members are going to get an extramonth since this month there is going to be alot of tweaking. I have been told that all stats are still being recorded even though Elite is down.

As for camping you just have develop stratigies to deal with them. Kinda like what the guy in the youtube video said(see last post). learn to deal with campers learn to clear a room also about the team aspect I personally like working as a team but unfortunately you will always have that one guy that does his own thing thats what private lobbies are for. Heck there are people like that all the time on battlefield and Killzone 3 as well as Crysis 2 rooms. I do understand there are alot of opbjective based games ( I personally love those games) Personally I love teamwork I dont camp I prefer to go through the map cautiously ( most of the time) we as gamers just need to adapt instead of get mad. It is frustrating though. All in all my expereince has been positive with this game I do not regret my purchase I had tons of fun this weekend . enjoyed what I played in story mode and Multi and just started spec ops-EPIC!

Silenced Suppressed G36c = so good. Kicks like a mule though so you kind of need the Kick proficiency on the sucker... if you excuse the pun

I found the silenced G36C and ACR 6.8 to be kinda off/a handful for me, but the SCAR wasn't exactly working silenced today, which is how I got it to level 31. Maybe just an off day. I have my SCAR permanently silenced with Kick, and I think I'll rotate my ACR and G36C with different sights and silencers and Kick. I have my other classes with the UMP and P90, both silenced with Kick. I like Kick. The Skorpion is the best non-launcher sidearm I've tested so far, great for when you run out of ammo on a streak 👍.

The ACR is my go to gun. My favorite secondary is the MP9, but I need to try the G18.

What is your strategy then? I played alot of MW1 and haven't played much until MW3 came out. The first few days I ran around like an idiot and was going 3-40 in domination matches. Now I actually use some strategy and camp as much as I can. I put my back against a wall and wait for some body running around to cross my path. I have about 8 people I play with all the time. On domination we pick 2 points, get them and camp them like there is no tommorow. On deathmatch we find a building or hallway and lock it down. We rarely lose this way. To me anyone who keeps trying to come and get us deserves to be killed. If a team I[m playing against is doing the same thing. I stay away from them and kill the few who are moving.

I really don't understand the issue in FPS with camping. What other strategy is there that works? I play to win and running around like an idiot doesn't work against decent players. I played some tonight and had games where I only died once or twice and had 4 or 5 kills, because I held down my section of the map and not many players entered it. I had other games where people for some reason kept coming back thinking they could make it through a room with people gurading every entrace and would get 20 kills and 2 or 3 deaths. How else are you suppose to control a map without splitting up into small groups and working on a few main areas of the map?

The big issue I have with all console shooters is quick sniping. That is the dumbest thing I have ever seen and I don't know why they keep letting it go on in games. Aim in someones general direction, pull up scope and auto aim takes care of the rest.

It sounds to me like you get frustrated by people who actually use a strategy and stick to it. If campers kill you, don't go back to that spot again, or find a way to flank them. If people are camping a rooms entrances, then don't go back to that room. Focus on another area of the map, or choke point and control it.

The MP9 is great, I like it a lot more than the skorpion. I'm pretty sure it's the TMP from MW2 and I never sniped without that gun on my side. Once I unlock extended mags it will be good enough to take down multiple people quickly.

there is no strategy in sitting in a corner camping, you just sit there and wait. strategy (in FPS shooters) is knowing the maps and where the high traffic areas are and flanking people, not sitting in a corner waiting for people to run past

There definitely a strategy (in FPS shooters) in camping its just a system you dont particularly like. My suggestions use your maps to your advantage clear your rooms carefully, work as a team with freinds and most campers will be easy to take care of

I don't have a problem much with campers because I kill them 80% of the time.

I don't see how there is a strategy in just sitting in a corner? your not doing anything but waiting for someone to come to you

Made the mistake last night of jumping into Hardcore TDM as soon as it unlocked. Played three games, got utterly owned in each one. Not only were all the other players lv40+ (me obviously just lv19) but the maps used were ones i'd not played on yet.

In my rush to get away from the Regular TDM and it's empty-an-entire-clip-into-an-enemy-to-maybe-get-a-kill frustration, i've lowered my K/D ratio after a good evening of dragging it back upto even. :(

Some of you people are confusing control with camping. You want to control an area that has multiple paths where people have a chance to outsmart you, that's fine. If you want to sit with your back to a wall and the only path is right in front of you, that's camping and proof that you lack any credible skill. There are plenty of strategies that work. Our MW2 group could dominate matches without spending more than 30 seconds to a minute in one area. Half the time controlling an area isn't about skill anyway, it's about timing. Whoever gets there first has the upper hand, and sometimes it's all based on what spawn you start at. The passive "Oh boy I hope someone comes near my area so I can kill them" is beyond boring. I'll take the active approach and hold my own doing it.

So sniping is part of camping? Because I could control a good area by myself.

exactly and just so we are clear this strtegy is used in real world urban tactics as well Dont hate

With 16 default maps there's a lot more learning to be done.

Az should be getting it tonight, so we'll probably have some decent 4/5/6 man parties this week, and as the party leader can go in to Hardcore, I think we'll probably go in there, standard sucks balls.

I'd forgotten about the joys of emptying an entire clip into an enemy only for them to have a slightly better connection and knife you in the face.

Liking the maps so far. Only scouted out a couple of them in Private Match. Underground and Village are epic. Dome is nice and compact.
