I'm getting ready to prestige to 14th, but I wanna wait till I'm almost done with three veteran challenges. If I complete all three (Skorpion, T95 and CM901) then I'll get 30k XP and if I use Double XP when I prestige, I'll get 60k. I'll wait till I'm on 499 kills on each then I'll prestige. When I do so, I can get a kill with each if then and there's easy XP :D

Why on earth would someone want to prestige 20 times?!?! I don't see the point prestiging once to be honest.
The amount of time you have to play the game just to get to prestige 15 is ridiculous, days and days and days wasted on this game, not to mention a severe vitamin D deficiency!

You can prestige with about 15 hours of game play if you are doing well.

That's still over 9 days solid gameplay to prestige 15 times, and like you said that's if they are doing well. If not god knows how long it will take.
Some people definitely need to get out more rather then obsessing about the next prestige and a little badge by their PSN name  I feel sorry for them

Whos obsessing? Just because someone prestige's has nothing to do with if they go outside or not, dont know where you got that from haha. I work 7-3 Monday through Friday and usually hang out with friends every weekend, if not every other. Still managed to get to prestige 5 in about 5.5 game days. I know your comment isn't aimed at everyone, but its just a totally off assumption.

15 hours gameplay does not mean 15 hours straight, whos to say that they didnt get that in well over a few months? Prestiging is just a way to keep people interested. I dont know how you can sit with the same gear all the time, but some people like to mix it up.

Well the amount of time you would have to spend to get to 15th prestige like I said is a lot. It was a general remark about the stereotypical video gamer, look at the guys at the top of the leader boards on this game.
I don't know exactly how many days they have spent on this game but I wouldn't be surprised if some have got above 15 days, and thats just on this COD.
With that amount of time spent on it, considering it only came out last November, that's a fair few hours a day, every day

I have 200 bf3 hours and go a week at a time without playing. I will admit tho, around 100 of those I was working overnights at my motel and getting payed as well.

Bf came out in October so that averages out just under 8 hours a week. Not to bad if you really break it down.
Did take a few weeks off when mw3 came out, got bored in the mid 70s first prestige and went back to bf3.

Do not read this as me bashing mw3, just bored with the game style myself.

As you sit there and average more than 6 posts per day on a forum about video games.

A great position to judge people from, I'm sure.

My days why do people take everything so seriously?!?
That's a staggering 6 posts a day :o that I can do on my mobile phone anywhere in the country, and each post taking no longer than a minute, which is a WHOPPING 6 minutes per day!!!
I really do see where you are coming from......oh wait

You clearly missed the point.

People waste time in all manner of ways, I don't see why you are passing such judgement on those that play a game. Especially since you are posting a decent amount on a forum dedicated to a video game. Not to mention the incredible amount of assumptions you've made, with the obsessing and not going outside, etc.

Hell, I have 189 hours into the game since December, 10th Prestige. Nevermind the fact the sun was setting at 3pm in January (oh boy, that sunshine) and it was freezing cold till just this month. Or that I work, go to school, and socialize. I cycle, do photography, and so on.

But thank you for feeling sorry for the people that "obsess" over this game.

I appear to have hit a nerve.....oh dear.
It was meant as a light hearted jibe towards those that take this game too seriously and those who spend vast amounts of time playing it.
You plainly didn't find it humourous, fair enough. I didn't mean to cause offence or start an argument.

It seems like that is exactly what you were trying to do with your comments.

You clearly didn't think out your word choice very well, nor the extent to which you went with it.

The Vitamin D joke, etc, that was okay. The bit about how you feel sorry for them was probably where it stopped being a poor attempt at humor.

Then your sarcastic response to me pointing out the hypocrisy of your statement didn't help. You clearly spend more than 6 minutes a day on GTP because you also read threads, consider your responses, and formulate them. Not to mention you probably play GT5 (which I find to be beyond boring) and so on.

I played a round on the Getaway map. It is super fun, but i tend to play HC alot so my weapons werent set up for a regular core game so i was getting rocked.

I tried out all of the maps in a private room session and they all seem like they would be pretty fun amongst friends. Since the maps are small coop works out well. I was playing with a random and we stayed relatively close to each other and we had it down.

The new map Oasis is pretty gnarly to. Its rather big and i only played it twice but it was tons of fun on S&D.

Today I was reminded of just how broken sniping is in this game. I don't know how it's possible for people to kill me without even being remotely close with their crosshairs, while I can be aimed center mass and miss 3 times in a row. It's beyond a joke.

A gun that you like but I would go Specialist killstreaks to get the most kills as easily.Once you get the specialist bonus you do become a much better player because of all the boosts.

Every time i get past specialist i get the mentality that everyone is after me, even though its not the case almost everytime haha. It ends up getting me nervous.

Here's a post that I made on another forum:
Daniel
Knowledge of spawns and decent reflexes/reaction times are both vital to getting MOABs. Also (while it's not vital), having either headphones, a Surround Sound set-up or Surround Headphones really help. I was watching a gameplay of my friend trying for a MOAB; at least 3 times I heard someone moving around when he ended up walking straight past them (e.g. he was running under the covered bridge at the bottom area in Carbon, and I heard an enemy walking on the bridge itself).

Caution:
If you think there's 10 guys camping behind one building then don't go that way. You'll be lucky to kill one or two of them before you get skull ****ed with virtual bullets. If you think the enemy has the upper hand for one route, find another. ADS around corners, wait for teammates to go around the corner first. This may be a pretty selfish tactic, but you'll be able to see the general direction of the bullets and where they came from. I use this tactic so much it's not funny.

I nag my (aforementioned) friend to be more cautious when playing; don't rush. I cannot stress this to him enough. He goes along saying "If FearCrads can get a rush MOAB, why can't I?"
I reply with, "You've gotta crawl before you can walk."

My proof: His sensitivity is around 2-4, and he's never gotten a MOAB in his live (apart from when we did a private match to see what it looked like :dopey:)

Back to the sensitivity. If you have a low sens like 2-4, practise raising it by 1 or 2 every week or so and settle on something around 7 or 8. I consider myself a decent COD player (1.8 KDR, almost entirely Specialist) and my sens is around 7. Because you have a higher sensitivity, you can react quicker to situations where a lower sensitivity would get you killed. An example would be: You're running down a corridor and thanks to the atrocious spawn system by IW, an enemy spawns right behind you. He starts shooting when you can easily turn around, drop to the floor and shoot him square in the chest for an easy kill. I've done this so many times before as well, so it works.

If you're not using the Tactical controller layout, do so. In high-risk CQC to mid-range firefights, dropshotting may be fairly cheap but it's really helpful. Practice pressing down on the right thumbstick when you start shooting. Your enemy has to aim down against the recoil, so most of the time, people overcompensate. By the time they've corrected their aim, they're already dead thanks to you.

Now, for a bit of psychological tips:
Never aim for a MOAB right off the bat. If you've only gotten a few MOABs before, or haven't even got on yet.. don't jump in with this type of mindset: "OMFG MOAB TIME BITCHES!!!! TIME TO GET RAPED BY MY SKILLFUL FMGs"
Two things:
Don't expect to get a MOAB right away. You set the bar too high and you'll end up messing up your pants because you're shaking so much.
You're a noob for using the FMGs. They take no skill to use and they're overpowered. Please snap your disc of MW3 in half.

If you do happen to get on a decent killstreak, don't count and don't check the scoreboard. You'll end up thinking about how much left you have and not thinking about whether there's an enemy behind you. Also, don't think, "Only one more now. *kill*, OK, only one more this time. *kill*, I mean this time!"
Like I said before, don't expect anything.

Don't blame your death on the enemy. If he was camping in a corner using Assassin Pro, then you should have checked your corners. If he sniped you from across the map, you should have known about most sniper lines of sight and gone another way. Someone knifed you from behind? Spawns flip all the time in MW3, if you're going for a MOAB you should know that by now. Always check your ass to make sure someone's not gonna stick their blade in it. And then stick their virtual testes in your virtual face that is virtually dead.
If the enemy has Assassin, Steady Aim and FMGs; then by all means blame him because he's being a nooby asshole.

If I think of anything else to add then I'll probably add it in here. And if you don't agree with my hatefulness towards Assassin Pro and FMGs, so be it. I just don't like them. Just don't call me a hacker when I obliterate you with my .44 Mag and Throwing Knife :p

I usually play hardcore so a MOAB would be pretty hard to get in my case. I have switched over to core for a prestige or two but the closest i got was around 17-19.

I can't stand hardcore. All you hear are grenade launchers, XM25's and wildly thrown grenades.

Its not that bad really, Although on s&d explosives can get pretty ridiculous. I started playing it on mw2 because for some reason thats all my friends would play, and now I'm just stuck on it. Back to what you said though, yes you do hear things but hardly anyone gets kills with it because like you said, they are just randomly shot. The explosives i tend to die from or bouncing bettys and claymores and the occasional semtex. I like having no radar, i just wish the health was a tad bit higher.. getting shot in the foot by a random sprayer does make me rage though haha.
