I don't feel like buying premium, because without any DLC I easily get mad at this game, I loved Terminal, my favorite map, but for $15 bucks? I'll pass...

Not at home, but if anyone is playing it. Are there some wannabe Trickshotters? :D Flawless gameplay here I come!!! I'll be that guy using a sub machine gun while everyone is jumping on the plane, flashing me, and spinning in the air :D
 
Only did 2 domination matches there and suprisingly enough the people I was playing didn't seem to have played it before. I was able to get to Red Top set a tactical insertion and spent the last 3rd of the game withou beign killed!
 
I have a problem regarding the latest DLC. I live in a country where PSN Store isn't available (Argentina). When I want to play online, the game tells me:

- Notice
Free downloadable content is required. Do you want to download it now? Yes/No.

If I choose "Yes", the game takes me to a blue screen where it promptly tells me "This service is not available in your country/region". If I choose "No", well, I'm screwed. I cannot play online.


What can I do about it?
 
Have you tried setting up an American account to download the map? Once installed on the console you should be able to use it on all accounts.
 
Actually no, but would that be legal? That's my only concern. The PS3 isn't mine, it's my brother's, and we don't want anything bad happening to it.
 
A lot of people without their own PSN Stores just use a UK, US or Eu account. New Zealand's got it's own PSN store and I still have a US account :lol:

Terminal is now globally available to all players. The nostalgic map can be downloaded via the Playstation Store now – which ELITE subscribers got access to yesterday (including their August Content Drops), and will auto-download for Steam players. Xbox 360 players have had the map exclusively since last month. The classic MW2 map has been weighted accordingly on matchmaking – you will see Terminal appear more often compared to other maps.

To celebrate the release of Terminal for everyone, Infinity Ward has turned on Double Weapon XP across all platforms. The event is scheduled to last through the weekend and into next week – as Candice Capen exclaims “enjoy your #MW3 gold week.”

Its fine i've got a us, uk and Japanese account. Have had it for years and nothing has happened. Plus i don't think sony cares as long as you are using there products they are happy.
 
I'm really liking Terminal right now. I never had MW2 either so it's a whole new map for me.
And I got a MOAB within 5 matches on it :dopey:
 
Oh lag compensation, why do they keep messing with this, the last update made the game almost playable, and now I die before people even come around corners, and I have to wait for the second half of a clip before I get hit markers. The game is unplayable now, 7mb DL speed and a 42ms Ping. WTF COD is unplayable with this, go back to P2P the way it used to be, where good connections meant good connections and bad meant bad. I had BAD internet speeds for years and it was better than this!

Rant over! :(
 
It still boggles my mind why they decided to put Terminal into the game. Why not something like Estate or another good sniper map.
 
MW3 is in dire need of good sniping maps. So many of the MW2 and CoD4 maps had places where you could just plop down and snipe over a good portion of the map, especially in hardcore. Only a couple of the MW3 maps have that IMO (Looking at you, Seatown). Everywhere else the only people with snipers are the :censored:bag quick scopers.

If anyone wants to play MW3 with me, add xL86LSWx. I don't do SnD, everything else is fair game.

Campin and sniping are 2 different things. If you don't understand the difference you are clearly not into sniping.

This game has zero sniping maps. Even Liberation sucks for being a sniper map.

Same goes for LMGs. There are very few maps where you can actually use those without being gunned down by someone coming around a corner.

I'm enjoying Terminal at the moment, but only because there are many players who obviously haven't played MW2 and don't yet fully understand how to play the map. On the other hand, i'm still active on MW2 so get to play Terminal often enough anyway.

Instead of giving us maps from MW2, which to be fair is very similar to MW3 anyway, why not bring back some of COD4 Modern Warfare's sniper-friendly maps. Bloc, Bog, Countdown, Crossfire or Creek would be epic with MW3 perks and killstreaks.

...makes me want to go back and play COD4 again, if it wasn't hacked to pieces as it is now. :indiff:
 
You could always play CoD4 on PC. I do not have CoD4 on PC, but I have seen enough videos on YouTube recently to know that the online community is not having near the problems that console does.
 
Yeah, as a non-PC user that's not really an option unfortunately.

It's a shame to be honest, i always found it a much more even playing field than subsequent games. Going back to CoD4's pared down kill streak rewards made perk options a bit less straight forward. With less opposition air-support and the like, it means you don't have to go all defensive by choosing the Cold Blooded perks etc. [/OldGitMoan]
 
Ok, I always hear and read the same complaint over and over, how can a console game be hacked when you can't hack into the console itself to change stuff? What are tis "hacks" all about? Seems like evry time someone gets a beating due to a bad connection compared to the host they immediately accuse the winning team of hacking the game! Is it even possible?

I'm sure they mean people glitching. And there use to be ways to hack console games. The game genie or some of the other types like that could hack games like crazy. I'm not sure if that kind of stuff is still around but it use to be.
There's also been ways to use your connection to your advantage. People use to use lag switches in socom. I don't know if that works on the 360 or not. That too really wouldn't be s hack because they aren't modding the game just abusing the faults with online gaming.
 
Exactly, those are glitches wich still suck but not hacking.
And about the 'lag switchs" you mentioned, I have noticed that on MW3. Every once in a while I come across a player who's just impossible to kill because any time you're near him your game will lag more than ussual, normally if I'm behind on connection I only notice it on the kill cam, but with this guys you do notice it in game they'll be jumping all over the place in front of you!
 
Try playing CoD4 online on PS3 if you have a copy. There are all kinds of different changes. Some of them have sprint turned up to what seems to be the speed of light. Some have infinite ammo and no need to reload. I have been on a server with unlimited grenade launcher spam and no reloading needed between launching a grenade.

Here is an example of the automatic grenade launcher:



These are the two most common that I encountered, but I also did not play much CoD4. When I did play CoD4 for though, the amount of people playing online had dwindled and the chances of encountering a hacked lobby increased dramatically. Fortunately when I was still playing MW2, that stuff did not happen very often. Now, I would guess it is a bit different. I have since moved on to playing on PC and with a dead PS3, likely will not be playing anything on PS3 again any time soon.
 
Unfortunately all Cods all hacked on PS3. Even in MW3 I get a lot of invites for hacked lobbies and such. Just ridiculous.
