I've seen it happen many times these last few weeks, usually with rooms with large numbers of people. Someone else might know a fix or a way to avoid it, I just know it seems to be happening a lot lately.

I'll have to get a few laps in before the race. Anyone have a competitive lap time target for me?

My Mini will be there in a lewd Orange paintscheme. However, it's got miles so I'm still about 5HP short of the mark. Should be fun!
 
Soon be time for the MADNESS to begin. Cant wait to unleash my mini :lol:

I've had a couple of random disconnects from my normally rock solid ISP the last couple of days including about an hour ago. Hopefully it holds out for the race...:nervous:
 
Really sorry I couldn't join, was really looking forward to the race, had been doing plenty of practice getting a good set up but unfortunately something came up at the last minuet. :grumpy:

Hope you had a good race guys.
 
Well that was fun!!! First race got a bit of a break and pulled out ahead of the draft and left the pack to battle it out which slowed them down. Second race I paid back all the luck with a collision or two with cars that had crashed out in front of me in the chicane. Fun little car, I'll definitely race with you guys again:tup: if there is more MINI Madness:crazy:

Sorry about the little tap on the last lap Jamesy:scared:. Not sure if you guys hit the brakes extra hard or I came in a bit hot...maybe both. My fault either way.

I'm pretty sure I was off pole for the first race, less than a tenth back, but somehow I started at the back. Was anyone else out of order?

Well that was Madness, Mini Madness. Massive thanks to everyone who raced tonight. We saw 15 participants between the 2 races, 14 starters in the first and 13 in the second. Thats a record attendance for Mini Madness. Now for the results.

I loved it. It truly was madness! I need to work on my setup... I guess I shouldn't have chanced it without having driven the car/track combo before qualifying.

Had a truly fun time in the first race, really great battles, but I had to ease off my tyres were shot.

Second run, no idea why I was so much slower, perhaps it was my unease with the track in reverse.

Either way, definitely love to race with you lot again in another Mini Madness!
 
Madness indeed!

Fun. I really like the Rome track.

But as I suspected, that corridor before the uphill on reverse... :eek: Total madness!!!
Did I not say corridor? And where did I bunch up right on the get-go? The corridor!! :lol: :crazy:

Mini madness lived up to its name last night 👍:)

I had an epic battle with geordie in the first race, we was swapping positions 1 or 2 maybe even 3 times each lap, the battle went right down to the last corner where we even changed positions there. I really enjoyed that race geordie 👍 it was clean&fair all the way, nice one 👍👍

Second race i did'nt seem to have the pace to run with the quick cars, i finished a very lonely 5th place :grumpy:

Roll on the next mini madness at Eiger 👍👍 :):)

We brought complete Madness to the streets of Rome in our Mini's, and just like the movie, The Italian Job we will be taking the Cooper's onto the Alps next. Eiger Nordwand short track will be the venue for the penultimate Mini Madness event, with Eiger reverse for the second race. ​


Race date...Saturday 5th May.​



Room will open at 8.15pm BST, qualifying will start at 8.30pm BST

Car..Classic mini cooper 1.3i (standard...I have spare cars available)

Track...Eiger Nordwand (short)...18 laps...then Eiger reverse with reverse grid from previous race.

Tuning...Absolutely everything...182 BHP (when run in)

Weight reduction...Full strip down...652 KG

Tyre...Sports medium

Transmission...Fully customisable

Suspension...Fully customisable

LSD...Fully customisable

Regs...All driving aids off except ABS

Room settings...Grid start, Grip real, boost off, damage weak, penaltys off, boost off, slipstream weak.

Pit stop...Not compulsory.

10 minutes qualifying. Fastest first, then reverse grid for the 2nd race.



These races will be held in my private lobby at 8.30 pm GMT, so if your interested please post in here with your PSN and I will send you a Friend request. Any skill level welcome, just as long as your a clean racer.

This event is for FUN, which means there will be NO points and NO prizes. Bragging rights are all you will be racing for and to get your name on the Mini Madness wall of fame (if you win). The grid is going to be fairly full and some accidents are going to be unavoidable, but please try to keep your driving as clean as possible. That means NO punting, ramming or blocking on purpose. If you do cause a crash, or make someone else loose a position due to careless driving, you must slow down and let that driver back past. Any DIRTY driving will mean exclusion from any future MINI MADNESS events.



Before entering room please re-boot PS3, ensure PS3 date and time is set from the internet and clear cache.

Headsets are welcome, but if more than 12 drivers attend, please switch off during the race.

Also I know this doesn't really matter since there's no points in this series but I actually finished 4th in the first race.
