Thanks, notarj. It was nice to see you at the front, tonight! You were hot.

Yeah, I am not sure what happened to the drivers here, either. Hundreds check in to see what is coming up for each Monday. We use every kind of car, vary the tracks, make it challenging, have good fun.

Monday Night Racing

June 1 @ 7:30 P.M. Eastern

Car: BMW M3 1989, 212, 24, Tires = Comfort Soft, (target PP = 461.92)

BMW-M3-1989-profile.jpg

Tracks & Conditions, (Laps)
Broad Bean Raceway FC / Counter-clockwise, Tires = 13X** Fuel = 13X**, (26) (refuel rate = 10X)
Alsace Test Course Reverse / Counter-clockwise, Tires = 13X* Fuel = 8X, (17)
St Croix C Clockwise, Tires = 15X Fuel = 7X*, (4)

The refuel rate was adjusted to account for the onerous pit stop delay of this track.

Repetition is a great learning tool and we get a double dose of it tonight. You will get very familiar with how this car drives. Then we get unleashed on one of GT7's longer tracks almost getting to terminal speed. It will be a fun night in a great, consistent car!

Well over 2,000 views since last week! :D

Are you sure that you want to miss out on driving this wonderfully solid car?
Seriously?

First of all, like music, MNR is just math. So, no matter how stressful the next races may feel - not my fault. The question is whether you are up for some good racing in a reliable but troubled car.

The car has a few severe restrictions, though. The brakes are next to non-existent. You just need to use good driving techniques and track knowledge, to avoid the kitty litter or smacking a wall. The car is a tank, so it may seem sluggish, even though it has only 7.x lbs / HP, or need a long runway. It refuses to downshift above 6K revs.

All tracks offer sand to go and explore, therefore I highly recommend turning on the yellow map pins, especially for Willow Springs. They give you more useful information than a driving line. The first track will require a large dose of a calming tea.

Do yourself a favour and practice with the AI.

Sound like fun to you?

June 8 @ 7:30 P.M. Eastern

Car: Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary Edition 1988, 449 HP, 3285 lbs, Tires = Sport Hard, (target PP = 554.2)

Add the F. C. Suspension, Differential, Manual Transmission, and the Brake Controller is useful.

While this Countach is reasonable, it does have some issues. It is in your best interest to practice on these tracks.

By the time that you read this post, about 2,100+ GT Planet members will have caught up with us since only last week. Good move! 👋

Now, why not come and actually race with us? We are a small group of clean drivers used to rising to each week's challenges. These are not easy races, true, but they are as fair as what Gran Turismo allows and we are all under the same restrictions - same car, same parts. Tire grip is reasonable for each car, so you will learn how to drive better. Driving aids are limited, so that you and your car are not driving on rails. If you are not used to driving like this, come and learn how with us. This is why I started MNR in the first place.

Not only do we have to think and drive well, but the races are designed, either directly or indirectly, to help you become better drivers.

We only use a car once, plus each car will receive a reasonable tune for an otherwise stock car. Your garages will improve in value and usefulness.

Our format has been well proven since 2012. I have seen the results of drivers improving over time because they beat the pants off of me each week now. We all make mistakes and each race is different (we earn our finishing place), even though MNR is firmly based on the use of repetition as a learning ing tool. The second run can make up for your earlier mistakes.

Given all of that, how many of you 2,100+ viewers each week are willing to challenge yourself? Check out the Countach video above. Picture yourself driving such a car!

Come join us this Monday while driving another interesting ride!
