Thanks, notarj. It was nice to see you at the front, tonight! You were hot.

Yeah, I am not sure what happened to the drivers here, either. Hundreds check in to see what is coming up for each Monday. We use every kind of car, vary the tracks, make it challenging, have good fun.

Monday Night Racing

June 1 @ 7:30 P.M. Eastern

Car: BMW M3 1989, 212, 24, Tires = Comfort Soft, (target PP = 461.92)

BMW-M3-1989-profile.jpg

Tracks & Conditions, (Laps)
Broad Bean Raceway FC / Counter-clockwise, Tires = 13X** Fuel = 13X**, (26) (refuel rate = 10X)
Alsace Test Course Reverse / Counter-clockwise, Tires = 13X* Fuel = 8X, (17)
St Croix C Clockwise, Tires = 15X Fuel = 7X*, (4)

The refuel rate was adjusted to account for the onerous pit stop delay of this track.

Repetition is a great learning tool and we get a double dose of it tonight. You will get very familiar with how this car drives. Then we get unleashed on one of GT7's longer tracks almost getting to terminal speed. It will be a fun night in a great, consistent car!

Well over 2,000 views since last week! :D

Are you sure that you want to miss out on driving this wonderfully solid car?
Seriously?

First of all, like music, MNR is just math. So, no matter how stressful the next races may feel - not my fault. The question is whether you are up for some good racing in a reliable but troubled car.

The car has a few severe restrictions, though. The brakes are next to non-existent. You just need to use good driving techniques and track knowledge, to avoid the kitty litter or smacking a wall. The car is a tank, so it may seem sluggish, even though it has only 7.x lbs / HP, or need a long runway. It refuses to downshift above 6K revs.

All tracks offer sand to go and explore, therefore I highly recommend turning on the yellow map pins, especially for Willow Springs. They give you more useful information than a driving line. The first track will require a large dose of a calming tea.

Do yourself a favour and practice with the AI.

Sound like fun to you?

June 8 @ 7:30 P.M. Eastern

Car: Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary Edition 1988, 449 HP, 3285 lbs, Tires = Sport Hard, (target PP = 554.2)

Add the F. C. Suspension, Differential, Manual Transmission, and the Brake Controller is useful.

While this Countach is reasonable, it does have some issues. It is in your best interest to practice on these tracks.

Laguna Seca, Tires = 9X Fuel = 5X*, (10)

By the time that you read this post, about 2,100+ GT Planet members will have caught up with us since only last week. Good move! 👋

Now, why not come and actually race with us? We are a small group of clean drivers used to rising to each week's challenges. These are not easy races, true, but they are as fair as what Gran Turismo allows and we are all under the same restrictions - same car, same parts. Tire grip is reasonable for each car, so you will learn how to drive better. Driving aids are limited, so that you and your car are not driving on rails. If you are not used to driving like this, come and learn how with us. This is why I started MNR in the first place.

Not only do we have to think and drive well, but the races are designed, either directly or indirectly, to help you become better drivers.

We only use a car once, plus each car will receive a reasonable tune for an otherwise stock car. Your garages will improve in value and usefulness.

Our format has been well proven since 2012. I have seen the results of drivers improving over time because they beat the pants off of me each week now. We all make mistakes and each race is different (we earn our finishing place), even though MNR is firmly based on the use of repetition as a learning tool. The second run can make up for your earlier mistakes.

Given all of that, how many of you 2,100+ viewers each week are willing to challenge yourself? Check out the Countach video above. Picture yourself driving such a car?

Come join us this Monday while driving another interesting ride!

Car: Mine's BNR34 GT-R N1 base, 621 HP, 2976 lbs, Tires = Sport Medium, (target PP = 640.59)

Add the F.C. Suspension, Differential & Vectoring Differential, Manual Transmission. The Brake Controller is useful.

You will want to join us this week because the car is 4WD. The tracks were chosen to test the driver's ability to drive well with this type of car. An example lap at Maggiore proves this. Try it yourself.

All of these courses will present lots of laps for us. A core principle of MNR is to use repetition as a skill-enhancing tool and you will get a triple dose of it this coming Monday. Contact me to join us!

There are two major downhill sections in this short Maggiore track and it is so easy to get them wrong. The driving line is very, very important here. This lap guide is less than 1/10th of a secord short of my ideal time! It can be done. If you dive-bomb the corners, though, you will add time and cause accidents.

Tracks & Conditions, (Laps)
Maggiore East End Clockwise, Tires = 6X Fuel = 5X**, (19)
Daytona Tri-oval, Tires = 9X** Fuel = 3X**, Fuel rate = 6X, (21)
Grand Valley South Reverse / Counter-clockwise, Tires = 6X Fuel = 4X, (14)

If you haven't raced with us yet, you will need both your racing and pilot licences to drive the next car because, if you get a tailwind, you likely will exceed the speed of sound! Well, it sure feels that way.

The car has so much downforce that it is difficult to make big mistakes and it can stop in only a few car lengths. Amazing fun!

You really shouldn't miss these races. You will be wearing a big smile all night.

Since last week, 1,234 of you, so far, wanted to know what we will race next.

Well, the next car will require both your racing licence and pilot's licence.

Are you going to miss out on this?

Seriously?

Because of certain circumstances, the next MNR lobby will be private, so if you want to race with us, you must request entry early.

So far, this year, GT7 has sold over 835k copies. Some have even bought it for a discounted $20.

Some of those new players need a safe on-line environment in which to learn.

Monday Night Racing was set up to help you get comfortable while you increase your skills.

Please join us each week and your driving will improve.

June 29th is a 5th Monday and, therefore, will be a Special Event night of racing.

You will need the Ford Escort RS Cosworth that is still in the Used Dealership for a day or so more. You will need other cars, too, but the Cosworth has limited availability.

Make sure that you have an unrestricted one today.

MNR was created to help sim racers get up to speed on-line.

You just needed to deal with a new experience, then boom! There you were. Won the first race, too. 😁

I just hope more GTP members follow your lead.

What I enjoyed most is that even when I was down in 3rd 4th or 5th, it was really good clean racing.
Won the first race, too. 😁
Which reminds me, I meant to share that setup. I put a bit of time into this one, so I'm glad it paid off when it mattered.

Thanks for the settings. I will try to use it to figure out what happened to my tire wear. It was weird, not like in my testing.

The next MNR will be on a 5th Monday and will be a Special Event!

Details that will be different include needing 4 cars. In this case, we will use 4 cars that we have used before. That never happens unless I made a mistake, but this is no mistake. It is a first.

The 4 cars will represent the 4 different cars that normally would be spread out over a whole month, using the normal 4 category breakdown. The cars & tracks were matched up nationally. Cars vary the type, drivetrain & engine placement, too. Most of you have already driven these cars with an MNR tune, so you should be ready to go. All tracks have tricky danger zones, so it is in your best interest to experience them before the races start.

The four cars are:

Small Road Car: Alfa Romeo MiTo
Small Tuned Car: Ford Escort RS Cosworth
Big Street Car: RUF RGT 4.2
Big Tuned Car: Ferrari FXX K

If you don't have the Cosworth now, we will have to figure something out.

Another change is that these will be timed races. This will fill a 2 hour session, so PLEASE make sure that all cars are tuned and ready to go.

Races = 15, 20, 25 & 30 minutes. The 3rd race will actually be ~31 minutes for most of us, and we won't have time to qualify for #3. That on its own would take everyone 15-20 additional minutes.

Race #1

Alfa-Romeo-Mi-To-Uffizi-Gallery.jpg

Maggiore West End Reverse / C-C: Alfa Romeo MiTo, 152, 2524, Tires = Comfort Medium

Add the FC Suspension, Differential, Manual Transmission, Brake Controller, (target PP=397.90).

Tires=24X Fuel=14X**, (15 minutes)

Race #2

Ford-Escort-RS-Cosworth-Farrington-Highway.jpg

Blue Moon Bay, Infield B Reverse / CW: Ford Escort RS Cosworth '92, 223, 2811, Tires = Comfort Medium

Add the FC Suspension, Differential + Vectoring Differential, Manual Transmission, Brake Controller, (target PP=438.82)

Tires=20X Fuel=5X, (20 minutes)

Race #3
RUF-RGT-4-2-Caracciola-Karussell.jpg

Nordschleife: RUF RGT 4.2, 517, 3086, Tires = Sport Soft

Add the FC Suspension, Differential, Manual Transmission, Brake Controller, (target PP=665.72).

Tires=5X Fuel=2X, (25 minutes)

Race #4

Ferrari-FXX-Sette-Martiri-Canal.jpg

Sardegna Road Track A Reverse / CW: Ferrari FXX K, 1034, 2568, Tires = Racing Hard, (target PP=774.55)

Add the FC Suspension, Differential, Manual Transmission, Brake Controller.

Tires=5X Fuel=2X, Refill rate @ 6X (30 minutes)

Hopefully, everything is correct.

All 4 related Fast Lap lap guide replays for this week are now Shared in my GT7 content and can be used in GT7's Datalogger.

I am interested in knowing about whether they help you and whether it is worth my time making more. Feedback please!

By Monday, about 1,000, maybe even more of you, will have reviewed next Monday's special races.

Surely some of you want to race with us.:gtpflag:

Thanks, Michael. I saw this late because we had to start racing when you posted.

The next races will be posted soon, though. You will need the Autobianchi A112, which is in the Used Dealership now. Don't be fooled by its massive 71 HP. You will need every ounce of those to win.
