Monitor and 2.1 speakers to PS3?

I want to connect my Samsung T220 monitor and 2.1 speakers to PS3. this is what I need, right? My monitor has only dvi and vga, no speakers and 1680x1050 max resolution. Does this list look okay?

I recently hooked my PS3 up to my PC monitor too. This is how I did it; I think it will save you some money.

HDMI-DVI cable (HDMI one end, DVI the other)

AV component cable (comes with PS3)

RCA in 3.5 headphone out adaptor

3.5 headphone to 3.5 headphone adaptor (connects to above adaptor and the cable from your speakers)

That should be all you need.

Something to keep in mind is that that is a 16:10 monitor, so things might not look quite right unless you fiddle with your monitor settings.
