Tomorrow night for you eh? It pays me at 10am every day, I will be camping on that street at 10am tomorrow:sly:.
0 GMT is 0 GMT no matter where you are. ;)

7pm for me, btw.

And I'm not gonna take your road, anyway.

I feel as though i failed on my first attempt. haha.

Nismo just started and already has a higher networth/score!

Yeah, nismo, how did you get that extra 250k? Did a chance card give it to you?

For now. Once you get paid, you'll have 1,287,000 vs Nismo's 829,000.

Spend your extra 400k wisely. :sly:

So, i did alright then, aye? haha. :)

I'm glad i bought the street i did - plenty of space!

Yea, they said someboy was caught trying to bulldoze something so I got the 250k from an out of court settlement. Oh, and the money, I really don't know. I just did what TB said and bought a bunch of Green Houses, good hint thanks.

For anyone not convinced about the large road, small houses bit, have a look at this. Looking at my local leaderboard, there is only one other person that has only one road like I do. This is what his looks like:

It's worth 11,058,000 but only gets 7,848,000 rent/day. He'd be better off selling it for 5.5M and buying a larger road, which will pull in more per building. Point of reference, here is mine:

winvl.jpg

Stats: Worth 9,816,000 with 23,061,000 rent/day

Add me to the list: Nicknamealguem, is the username I use in it.

I had to buy a street really far from me (France), because there wasn't any street affordable in my country.

I am getting ready to snipe this nice long road...I need to wait 50 mins untill its mine.

Good grief. How hard is it to find a 15-20M road?!?

Edit: Never mind. Found one just in time to start a build fest. If my calcs are right, it'll net me 130,000,000/day!

Wow, my street which I bought has roads that earn this!!!!!

You only pay 50k for a darned greenhouse. That street is win TB, thanks alot. I might even sell my other streets!!!!!!!

And you have 32mil!!!!! I only have 14 and dquan has 9...

I might even sell my other streets!!!!!!!
I don't think I've kept a road for more than one day yet. I just use them to move on to the next, better one. Hence my shiny new 38th St. :)

Edit: The Green Houses are earning me 566k each.

I see the 38th st. I will sell my other streets.

I have already got protection on my new road.

EDIT: Time to clean this city up and sabotage someones street!!!!

I have to keep discarding the demolish things, they dont really help me.

EDIT: Im gonna take a break from this for a bit, so far I have a fair bit of money ready to come in.

I dont think it matters because I calculated that the bigger buildings dont reel in as much profit, in any case the green houses are much more worth it.

What the hell?!? You can't demo a Hazard on someone else's street? I was going to help someone out! 👎

Yep. Just one of the flaws in this 'game' if you ask me.

I also don't like how you can't save up chance cards. Either use them, or lose them.

Also, I cannot click on another house or building without refreshing. Must be a bug.

Which of the higher up buildings(past the townhouse) takes the least amount of space?
I think I might be getting into this a bit too much.

Please excuse the handwriting as it obviously had to be tiny to fit it all in and I can only make it up to the Unbounded Megaplex. All widths are from the corner of the paper, lowest points on the cones on a straight east-west road. YMMV.

Cubic looks to be the odd man out, bested only by Spear, which is a complete anomaly.

Demo-lish. Destroy. De-erect. Tear down. Level. :p

I think I'm done with this. I'm on top of my local leader board, but I don't have 2 hours a night to fill a street with houses. It's taking 45 seconds each to build a house, waiting for the damn screen to come back. I gave up and spent my money on more expensive buildings, even though the return per dollar in is less. I did get a couple of parks on my two big streets, so that helps.

Between that and the cheating being rampant enough that player handles are Cheater#1, Cheater#2, etc. I don't mind getting beat, I don't mind learning what it takes to win, but I won't play in a game that's reports cheaters as winners. And there's no way in hell anybody's in the half-trillion dollar range after 3 days. it was kinda fun for a minute, but except for putting buildings on streets, it has nothing to do with the actual Monopoly game.

BTW, keeping down to 5 streets to avoid tax is not the way to maximize income. If you can run 19 streets, that's the biggest payoff, even though you're taxed at 42%. Until 19 streets, the street's income makes up for the tax payout. You will see a smaller ROI, but you have a larger daily income. After that, your income actually drops with more streets. Not drops per street, actually drops faster than the street income makes up for it. A tax-free return on investment will not make up for raw dollars from 19 full streets, according to what I've worked out.

Secret table:
Sheet.jpg

Think of the third column as a multiplier for your average street income amount. If all your streets earned the same money, it would be the numbers of streets whose income you get to keep. It's nothing but the number of streets minus the tax rate times the number of streets. If your streets averaged 3 million, for example, then 19 streets at 3 million apiece, less 42%, is a bit over 33 million that day. (By the time you have 19 streets, you'd better be getting a better average than that, but it illustrates my point.)
Like I said, it's raw dollars in, you had to spend more to get there than if you stayed at 5 streets, but you still make more dollars. 5 streets will keep you at the best return on investment, but you'll stay at small enough dollar amounts to fall behind, and you can see that starting with 20 streets, you actually earn less money total.

In point of fact, the percentages are so close that the dwindling return after 15 or 16 streets may make that number a practical maximum.

While I completely agree that it's a pain in the backside to place all the Green Houses, that phase of the game really is short lived. At the beginning, buying a house for 2M and building it up for a day will yield you in the neighborhood of 10M. Buy a new road for 8-10M, sell the first road and load it up with GH's. Day three, you should be somewhere North of 75M/day just off of one road. If you bought (2) 1M dollar roads, you'd be nowhere near that. Starting tomorrow, I'll be at a point where I'll be buying 50+M dollar roads (which is about the most I've seen for a virgin road) and placing, thanks to ROAD_DOGG33J's question, Spear End Summit building until I can afford the Monopoly Towers.

...19...
Hope you don't mind my severe edit...

Thanks for the heads up on the table. 👍

That might very well be true for long term, but to start out, having 19 roads will do you no good. You have got to have one that rakes in the money like nobody's business. Once you get to those long stretches, then you start keeping them and building them for keeps, not just as throwaways, at which point your 19 comes into play.

Speaking of, if anyone is interested in a great parcel of land, some will be available tomorrow.

Let the bidding begin!

And the bribes. :D

I agree that putting in green houses is a pain when it takes forever to load but its worth it in the long run. I havent finished putting them up, I will do it later tonight.

playing as Picc84, Im kinda getting the hang of it. My st. was cheap, but theirs a **** Tycoon on streets next to me, which should get interesting fast.
