First one isn't my thing at all, but the 550LMs are nice, better than the road cars. Is the yellow car a Holden? And is it yours?

Here's one I'd completely forgotten that I love:

Mercedes W113 230/280SL Pagoda

Shown here without the actual Pagoda roof :p (though it looks better like this anyway). Probably one of the classiest and most understated cars ever produced, as well as being one of the most elegant, and unlike a modern Mercedes it doesn't make you look like a ponce, a git, or an accountant. Completely lacks the ostentatiousness of later SLs. Very clean lines, definitely looks best in silver.

^ My friends car. I agree that it's possibly one of the most understated yet classy cars ever made. Ironically, I'm trying to convince him to get a 550 Maranello. In fact someone once asked him to do a straight swap. He declined.

Unsurprising, seeing as it was designed by the same bloke ;)

I saw one today actually at a car show, but the coupe version:

Some great cars in this thread, love the wooden one a few posts up!

don't you guys think you are a little bit out of date....

Not particularly. I expect that many here, whilst obviously big fans and indeed owners of some fantastic modern cars, would tend to choose classics when choosing cars they consider beautiful. Cars like some of the classic Ferraris above (just the first examples that come to mind) were penned without the need for modern safety standards, consession towards practicality or useability, and designed by people who's primary concern wasn't masculine aggression, but feminine beauty.

All the modern cars you listed are quite agressive, masculine designs (though the standard DB9 veers more towards a graceful femininity than the DBS does), and whilst I don't disagree that any of them are good looking cars, I'd struggle to call them beautiful, no more so than I'd personally call that yellow Holden further up a "beautiful" car.

Everyone is welcome to their opinons of course! It is always interesting seeing how people define beauty differently, be it in terms of cars, architecture, or the opposite sex!

Cool photo, on the pit straight at Reims, if I'm not mistaken. Last I heard they were actually restoring the pit building after years of dilapidation - I'd love to visit them at some point.

And of course, that's a striking car, too!

Beautiful machines guys! Here are a few more.

I personally like the Lotus Evora. I love the design of the car and it just looks fantastic to me.

Maybe, but I'm not certain.

My top three:
Nissan KPGC10 GT-R (aka the Hakosuka GTR)
Toyota AW11 MR2
Toyota AE86 Corolla GT (or Levin, if you will).

Some more:
BMW E30 M3 Sport Evo
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI (red w/TME stripes...)
Ferrari F40
Lamborghini Jota SVR
Caterham Seven
Lotus Elite
Lotus Elise (S1)...

Not posted photos because a) most people already know what they look like, b) if they don't there's always Google, c) if I hotlink them they'll eventually become outdated and d) there's a chance people can't be bothered to see how poor my taste in cars is...!

Audi TT convertibles and Toyota Corollas the most beautiful cars in the world? :odd:

+1... personal taste and all that, but still! With regard to the Corolla, I've always found the AE86 a bit of an ugly brute too. Functional yes, but hardly beautiful. The older TE37 is a much prettier car.

We are talking most beautiful cars ever, right? Not most macho, etc... Should I start a thread like that?
