The Ferrari F1 cars because I saved up so much to find out I can't even use them in any events apart from that one seasonal.

Schwimmwagen. Come on, 625k for a car that can't go past 40mph, plus it's a nazi bathtub!!

All the people saying Veyrons are crap need to get a clue as to how to drive and/or tune it.

HA HA Nazi bathtub, so true just goes to show the most expensive cars are not always the best

Damn right!

I can't be the only one who's kept a Veyron at 260+mph around the banks of Daytona or has setup the car to the point it has oversteer at speed.

P.S.
The massive understeer is from the bloody wing the pops up at speed. Remove that and the cars is a bloody diamond.

Are you implying it's a race car meant to be raced?

True, both the Veyron and McLaren F1 were the hypercars of their day. But they're fundamentally different in concept: the Veyron is a massively-powerful luxo-tourer while the F1 is a down-and-dirty full on race car. I never see why they're compared so often...

Only reason people compare them is because they were milestones in the auto industry. The F1 and veyron were the first cars to hit 240/250 respectively. Both cars are engineering masterpieces. (even if the F1 over heated constantly an melted down).

I got 7:19 with stock Veyron on sport hards on Nordschleife (all aids off, MT) - so it's extremly fast.
Many people can't drive it and that's why they talk crap.

They don't talk crap because they say the handling sucks. Don't over react. For straight tracks like Daytona it's a great car, but I'm 100 % sure you wont like to do Nurnburgring 24h with a Veyron. Cornering with that car sucks as hell. You might slow down in the corners to achieve great cornering but people would love a car that is fast with reasonable handling. That's why it gets mentioned this many times as a disappointing car.

Several
1. All models of the GTR, I love how the most popular car in the game, and one of the best handling irl, is just terrible in gt5. The most power an R32 GTR makes it 666bhp, ummm WTF? and then an R34 GTR with the same engine (RB26DETT) makes 1-200 more bhp! Its bullcrap! and then somehow the R35 makes heaps more power? And then above the power we have the handling, ffs the handling of those cars is shocking! And the worst part is that when you spend hours tuning out the understeer and get it to turn in and handle as well as anything else, the tyre wear is rediculous! Anything more than 3 laps and it becomes useless. A perfect example of 'the real driving simulator' being 'the real driving simulator'.
2. Enzo, the best car around a track that Ferrari has made and in this game it is shocking! Its understeer is comparible to the GTR's! It's not acceptable that a car like that should perform that way, and it annoys me. A lot.
3. F40. What the hell were they thinking!? That car has the tallest gears I have ever seen! And whilst I don't know how the gear ratios in a real F40 are, I know that in real life an F40 isn't geared in such a way that you need a 20km long straight in order for it to reach its top speed. It's handling is also incredibly unrealistic, every single review of the F40 I have read raves on about the incredible handling and grip that it has. But in gt5, the car is the exact opposite. It's not a crap handling car by any means, but by the same token, its everything but brilliant.
4. Well, the list goes on and on and on; I have so many cars that I am disappointed with its not funny. It amazes me that 'the real driving simulator' still manages to make these cars so ****. But yeah tbh I'd say that every car in the game disappoints me, all apart from one, the NSX Type R 02.

Most people just seem to talk crap on the Veyron because it's trendy to not like it.

I don't know about anything else you said, but I read somewhere that the F40 was given a wide gear ratio just to reach the magic 200mph. That speed with "just" 480hp was only achieved with tall gearing.

I think you may have missed my point, the thing is, irl the F40's gearing would be tall, but the degree to which they are in gt5, no. Its crazy, and yes although it only has 480bhp, it weighs very little, is incredibly aerodynamic, and has a tiny drag coefficient. So although it lacks in power, Ferrari engineered it in such a way that it was still able to do 200mph, but at the same time didn't have the rediculous bhp figures of other cars at the time. I suppose they were kind of showing the world that power to weight coupled with a well designed body and chassis was most important, not just an enormous machine with heaps of horsepower.

F40 gearing in the game is actually correct.

Yeah, because gear ratio numbers are exactly the same in GT5 as in real life . . . NOT.

The F40 had tall gears, but the first gears are just ridiculous. I've seen videos where it gets through the gears quicker, especially considering in the game you barely use 4th on any major straight.

Hmm, Veyron are on top of the list.
It can't really handles well.

The next and lastly, the GTbyCitreon road car. I'm dissapointing with the bhp, it's too low for a car like it.
Surely, PD could increase it to 600bhp+ stock to take on the likes Enzo and the SV but overall, i'm still happy with the car itself.

Regardless of how the numbers in the game look, just tell me one thing. Hop on GT5, get in the F40, and do some laps. After that, you tell me if you think GT5 is accurate.

I drive it stock all the time, it handles like a shoebox, but I never driven one in real life to make the accurate comparison ;)

Why is everybody bashing the Veyron? Sure, it's slow in the corners, but it makes up for it on the straights. :)

I've never driven a Veyron in real life, so I don't know if it's supposed to be tighter in the corners or not...

I think the Veyron handles fine, but like many Lotus' (Loti?), you have to learn how to drive it. People talk about how it handles poorly, but I'm not sure they're considering the massive power that gets delivered in one lump. It's extremely easy to drive beyond it's limits, but with a little practice, it's actually pretty precise and an absolute joy.

The only thing I was sad about, and many others as well, is the fact that it's a Standard car. Such a waste.

I did the exact same thing. You're completely right, I thought this was going to be the car to compete in higher series, though I actually never drove a race with it. Mine has the online sharing status now, cause I don't use it.

I personaly find the LFA pretty dissapointing. its one of the faster cars around the TGTT and i cant seem to get anything reasonable from it.

one of my favourite cars however is the 02 RS6 from the UCD, faster than an M3 and the ISF and lower PP, i have also found that the EVO X punches well above its weight getting similar times to the M3 around the top gear test track. (might be my poor driving with FR cars though and a tendency to be heavy on the throttle causing overstear)

The F40 is one of my favorite cars in the game, very tough to drive but extremely rewarding when you get it right. The turbo lag is amazing, its just how i imagine the real thing to be! I think to get the car closer to real life you have to do weight reduction 1 on it (its about 100kg too heavy in the game) and ecm tuning (its about 40hp more powerful irl)

Personally all the cars that are unable to be turbo'd/supercharged have bad performance numbers and are alot slower then the ones that can be.
