Most hated mission?

Missions 11, 12, 13, 14 were fun, at least you could click restart if you had a bad turn...

... hits a penalty half way in mission 34, do I finish the lap for practice or do I restart?? I wish there was a fast forward button for the wait time. đź’ˇ

Make sure you finish it - the practice is critical for the second half of the lap and you never know. A lot of my victorious runs in the missions I could have easily restarted thinking I had blown it.

See below for victory margin in my last mission - this was for 100%. I could have easily given up as on this run there are a few clear mistakes.

what a come back bud, yeah never gives up. 👍

Second time around after my first game got corrupted my most hated mission is the rally car M13 I think.

M14 is now easy as is M34 (PAL dirty method).

for me its the mission with the lancia stratos in monaco(dont know the number). i tried at least 20 times but i cant get familiar with that car...has anybody a clue which tires are used on that car? i tried practicing with s1 or n3 but they doesnt seem to match what is fitted in the mission :/

as for mission 23, i didnt find this mission to hard, beated it in my 5th try and i was 2.5 second in front of the yellow skyline :dopey:

the stratos one was annoying. havent done it yet. and i dont see where people have problems with 23. its easy if you just draft, overtake, drive full pelt, let them overtake, draft, repeat. first try. the one i had trouble on was the honda oddesey one because i kept letting it go into 6th which slowed me down

Also known as "slipstream" or "tow" - it's where you follow a leading car closely so that you're in a low-pressure region of air, allowing you to go faster.

Mission 26 and Mission 34 are the two I hate most. The damn waits make them so unenjoyable. I have had problem with my PS2 Slim with the save game data getting corrupted. The first time I attempted M26 it took me about 15 tries to win. The second time I tried after restoring a backup only took me 3 tries. Again, the 93 and 126 second wait to me is a rediculous way to code these races.

M34 is my bain. For those of you who have quoted winning this race in 2 or three times, I wish it were me. I cannot even count how many attemtps I have made on this mission and failed. I AM GOING TO BEAT THIS SUCKER IF IT TAKES ME INTO RETIREMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!

The showdowns suck, especially the Mercs at the NĂĽrburgring ! till now I still could not manage even sniffing the 5th' s fartpipe !!! :grumpy:

I still have quite a bit of missions left....
11, 12, 14, 15, 18, and I haven't even tried 31-34.

Out of what i've completed, I think the Corvette at Infineon (29) was the worst....I was so happy when I passed it.

Out of what I haven't finished I did really badly in 15 and 18.

I hate all of the 'one lap magic' missions because they make you sit there and wait... and wait... and wait...

... and wait...

Why did someone think this was good game design? Making the player sit there and wait for two minutes... can't fast forward... can't skip... can't do anything but rev your motor. Clearly, the game has the ability to start the scenario with cars already in positions around the track and running. Why could they not have done this?

I gave up on mission 34... not because it was too difficult. But because I got tired of the forced wait between attempts. This is a completely broken game mechanic.

I spent about 3 months on it with manual transmittion:ouch::crazy: :ill:   and i got really sick of waiting for 115 secs or something, i spent so long on there every day, i went crazy:crazy: i was so annoyed i was about to throw my controller at the TV:banghead::mad: then i tried using automatic transmittion, and it worked!:)   :D i took a few shortcuts though

I suck at the 3 lap missions on the street circuits (I always hit the CPU cars when I overtake 'em and get a penalty) and am obviously way off the pace in Mission 34. Mission 34 takes a lot of patience, especially with that huge wait at the start

I know what you mean. I don't see why we should even have to wait. Can't they just start us with a 3 second countdown with the cars already ahead? Hopefully they are smart enough to do that in GT5!

I think that was put in just to make it trickier. A mission has more rpessure on it when you know you have a 2 minute wait everytime rather than no wait, and that translates a harder mission. It still sucks though....

I have two left. The Nurburgring (obviosuly), and the Superbird at Seattle. And the one I hate more, EASILY Seattle. Not only do I not like the course (technically it's not a 'track'), the car is crap.

Even though M34 is ridiculously difficult, at least the Merc can turn corners (sometimes questionable) on a track thats fun.

I managed to do Seattle on my first full attempt (i.e not stacking around the first corner!). I was quick enough to nail the first few cars, but the Buick Special was just too damn quick. So coming into the penultimate 90-right I 'forgot' to brake, slammed the Buick into the wall, took the 5secs penalty, and made it over the line in front.:sly: Not exactly clean nor fair, but it had to be done and more importantly, it worked.

Mission 34 was the best fo me
2 minutes waiting, drink a coffe, relax a little...go...vruuum...grass...try again
drink another coffe...next no grass....vrummm...3º corner....more grass....and go on.... and i see one thing.... without grass i can't pass the mission
and you?
i make three times this one...the best time was 9.05.403 with grass.
