Most important tune-up?

What do you think is the most important tune-up part? Or let me put it in these words: Which part(s) do you buy first when u're tuning a car?

Turbo/Tuning, lightweight and tyres are the first i look at!

I think that it might be better if power to weight ratio is considered secondary to handling, especially if your car is already strong for whichever series you are going to race in.

Brake Ballance Controller

Sports Brakes

Better tires

Better suspension

Full Race Transmission

Upgrade horsepower if necessary.

It all depends on the car, but in most cases:

1. Oil
2. Tyres
3. Racing chip
4. Racing muffler
5. Full racing transmission
6. Fully costomised suspension
7. Lightweight

and so forth..

When I started GT3, I looked at NA/Turbo first, to give an idea of the cars potential power. Then I look at the most I can get for the money, and buy it. I never go for tires or brakes. And lightwieght comes after the HP mod. So I had a Miata, I first bought a turbo upgrade, than a muffler, and then rom. Since the other mods were too expensive, I went with lightwieght stage 1. then I spent the rest of the money on oil and flywheel. I can never hold onto money if I can buy something with it.

i wouldn't consider the oil an upgrade, more of a neccessity :darkside:

Not to be a GT3 moron or anything...well, mabye a little...but is the oil change something you have to do regularly, like on a recurring basis as you continue to race the car??

well, you dont HAVE to, but if you don't your car looses hp and generally isn't as powerfull as it should be. and there is an added bonus for freaks who like to change thier oil on a car they just got (0.0miles) if you do an oil change it'll give your car an extra undefined amount of hp! wooo! kinda like an easter egg i guess. just a lil boost for those who hear about/find it. its really nice to have, especially in the begining of the game. its the cheapest upgrade you can get! :ghost:

i usually run the car stock on super speedway first to see what it needs the most because it varies with the cars

Tyres then lighten, lighten, lighten... You can make a car quick even before you touch the engine, in fact I think it's very satisfying if the last thing you do is up the HP. :thumbsup:
