Yeah I saw those screen shots the other day on their facebook page. They do look nice. The graphics should be pretty good even though that's what I'm least concerned with.

The best MotoGP games were for PS2 made by Namco. My favourite bike game was TT Superbikes made by jester interactive, again for PS2. The Isle of Man course on PS3/4 would be:drool: Shame jester went bust.

I say MotoGP 07 was the best PS2 motoracer. Are you referring to MotoGP 4 when you say Namco? The intro is the best I've seen in any game ever but the game was not as good as other later PS2 racers I think. SBK 08 for PS2 is good too and Tourist Trophy. TT Superbikes not really. My opinion of course, we all have our favorites 👍

The first MotoGP game for ps2 was fantastic, back in the 500cc era. Think the first 4 MotoGP games on ps2 were really good but went downhill after. TT Superbikes was all I ever wanted. To lap the 37 mile mountain course! Road Racing is huge over here so that's probably why it appeals more to me.

Gonna def check this new game out. Milestone make solid WSBK games so high hopes for this one. The previous MotoGP games made by Capcom (?) where shocking imo.

First three, huh? Never tried them. Gotta do that I guess or else I might have missed something. Ebay here I come :)

Yes! My thoughts exactly. I think the first GP games were some of the best. I've also been saying for years now that TT superbikes is one of if not the best bike game as far as physics and difficulty goes. I just love the physics and having the TT course along with the other like Southern 100, Macau, and etc.

You can play TT superbikes on PS3. There are a couple of ways. If you have an old PS3 that's backwards compatible you can PS2 games of course, but another way is I remember a while back they had TT superbikes in the PS store. Its not a PS3 version but the PS2 version modified. I never bought it but I do remember seeing it up there. I was always hoping for a PS3 version of TT superbikes but didn't know Jester went under.

What? Where? Waaaaaant! I must go and check if this is true. :scared:

I've played some on that game now and it's definitely enyojable. I like the HUD and the simplicity and that one can do controlled slides :)

I'm waiting for no 2 and 3 to appear in the mailbox. They should improve some on the first one, right? It'll be fun to try out nevertheless.

It's definitely an improvment over the first one, though not a major one. MotoGP 2 is great fun, I can assure you. Addicting powersliding, fun career mode, neat Legends Mode and unlockables - not entirely sure about the latter though.

Edit:
Great! Can't wait!

👍

They released some pics of the game case artwork today on their facebook page. I'm sure it depends on what country you are in as to which case you get. I could care less which cover I get just want the game!

Yeah if I got to choose from one of those I would pick the one with Rossi in front then Dovi and Pedrosa.

Screens look interesting.

Anybody know if they're going down the sim route this time, or just another arcade motogp title?

Its supposed to be more of a sim like the SBK games. The last couple were not made by Milestone but by Capcom and developed by Monumental. Last time Milestone had input in the GP series was with GP 08. Now they have full control so hopefully it will be better.

Some news just out about the demo from their facebook page.

"MotoGP™13 Demo: Valentino Rossi. Marc Márquez. Gran Premi Aperol de Catalunya. Quick Race. 3 Laps. This is our special recipe for MotoGP™13 Demo. Once downloaded, you can select between Rossi or Marquez and ride for 3 laps in Catalunya. Plus, all the options will be available. (the demo will be out early June)"

Thanks MadRR, it looks great. I wonder where the first two vids are? :dunce:

Seems more of the same 'herky jerky' type of gameplay that afflicts all bike games.

Watch the movement of bikes in reality and then that on a game and it's a world away.

It's a shame really that as a driver I can get a good approximation of real driving with my driving rig but I'll never get the same with bike games (which is more annoying to me as I've had to give bikes up IRL).

Like the SBK games you say? A sim oriented MotoGP game you say?!

Hmm, I've been waiting for something like this. The thing I love about MotoGP is they always keep it running at 60 fps.

If they manage to pull off a realistic simulation with true to life engine sounds, it's a day one purchase for me!

The first 2 vids are in this thread. The first vid is lorenzo at mugello and the second vid is rossi at jerez.

I was putting in the whole url not just the end part so maybe that's why I couldn't get it to work.

I agree. That's the one thing bike games have struggled with in general. Its hard to replicate it in the game as you are controlling the bikes with sticks and buttons compared to in real life with body movement. Until we have someone make a good handle bar controller that's probably always going to be a problem.

I also agree on that one too. I always raced on playstation with mainly bikes games like motogp, TT, and suzuki TT superbikes with the GT series for cars. When my SBK 11 championship ended I got in to PC racing sims with iracing and richard burns rally with a clubsport wheel and pedals. As fun as the SBK series is its hard for me to go back and play with a controller after using a nice wheel and pedals on PC. The immersion factor just isn't there with bikes games like in cars mainly because we don't have a good handle bar controller compared to the many sim wheels that are out.

Well I wouldn't exactly hold your breath or bet the house on it being the best bike sim ever, but in the last video they did say "all new physics engine with a total simulation approach". It seems it will be ok long as you have your expectations in check. I think to many people expect to much from these games. I want a full on good bike sim as much as the next guy but after playing bikes games for 10 years now and since getting on PC sims almost 2 years ago now I have just come to the realization that console "sims" aren't going to stack up to pc sims. That brings me back to the handlebar controller. Until we get a good one its going to be hard to call any console bike game a true sim.

The sounds are one thing they have slacked on I think. They are to high pitched and sound like 2 strokes and it sounds like the clutch is slipping on upshifts. I hope they fix this but I dont think it will be likely considering the release date is not to far out and the demo is coming out first of next month. I posted some info about the demo on the last page.

Forget about MotoGP 2013, it is that herky jerky.
You should look for GP Bikes by Piboso. It's an indie project, there should be a beta to download and try, it's W.I.P. but it's the only one decent motorbike simulator out there.

I'll wait till I've played GP13. Besides those videos haven't sold me one little bit.

Could just be the animation being too quick.

Besides, how accurate can you get with a pad. It's never gonna be as natural and real as biking should be.

Looks extremely easy for a sim. How difficult is it to control the bikes?

Oh there's a demo...
