Anyone else here get the January Vol8. PSM magazine?

It says GT4 has motorcycles.

Can you scan it? Theres a rumour and alot of hinting by KY that the Dodge Tomahawk will be in GT4 as a special bonus at the end.

That doesn't really prove much, there was an entire artice on some site devoted to motorbikes in GT4 and it confirmed nothing, there was a rumour a while back and more recently KY said there will be a 400Mph supercar in GT4, everything point to the Dodge Tomahawk, it looks like a bike but ince it has 4 wheels it's technically a car and thats supposedly capable of hitting 400Mph.

If they are in it raises that age old argument that they should be in as a bonus at the end of the game but having no effect what so ever with the rest of the game, ie no bikes racing cars at all. TBH I'm in no way at all thrilled with the idea of bikes in GT.

I don't think they would lie to anybody. But do they make mistakes? Oh hell yes they do. I've been a subsrciber for years and trust me, they make mistakes.

Do I think the article with the small mention of the motorcycles is a mistake? Nope. I think motorcycles were supposed to be a big surprise, but the cat has been let out of the bag.

BTW, do you know what model of car that blue, obviously rally, car is? It looks like a late 70's Peugeot or Renault.

Basically the whole graphics simulator would need to be modified, so it's unlikely, but the Tomahawk is a possibility.

The new Escudo-style vehicle, perhaps.

But the problem is you can't fall off on GT games yet, so bikes would be stupid.

Why would you fall off? I doubt that if there isnt any car damage you won't fall off a bike? Duh.

I think if Gran Turismo 4 wanted to have such a thing, they'd have to try three-wheel cars. http://www.go-t-rex.com features their T-Rex three-wheeler. The car is a cross between a Formula One race car and a MotoGP, full-factory effort motorcycle. It would make a convincing machine to have. It has great acceleration and a top speed of 140mph. I may have posted this site on another thread, but when I seen the car, I HAD to know more about it. I shouldn't say car, since it is considered a tricycle, which is considered a MOTORCYCLE.

But you must admit, it would make a killer addition if it was in the game. I can imagine it beating the rally cars and GT300 race cars in a road race now...

They wouldnt put motorcycles in the game cause i can just imagine the cheaters in multi. Constantly knocking people on bikes off. Plus that be dumb cause the AI could be dumb, coudlnt care less about u. Go its own way and hit u off.

I don't think bikes will be in Gran Turismo 4. They'll have to change the physics. But a seperate motorcycle game by Polypony Digital, is more believable.

I thought PD did say that they might make a motorcycle game or was it Sony? I think ti was sony because I remember them saying that they might make a GT bike game between the time after GT4 releases and when the PS3 debuts.. so maybe late 04-mid 05... Who know if the do want to use bikes just make a seperate game.. now that would be awesome...

If I'm correct, Polypony Digital said that a seperate game was in the making, with similiar physics as Gran Turismo 4.

But the best motorcycle game right now is, Moto GP2.

yea thats what they said i think it was ign .. they said something like they wanted to make one and they might but sony has Moto GP2 as there motorcycle game, ive never played it so I dunno how good it is but thats what they said so who knows maybe PD might make one, guess we'll just have to wait and see...

I really cant see the GT team devoting time to a bike game there next project is probably GT5 and I would have thought putting bikes in GT4 would require a different physics engine etc...
If you want a GT style bike game try Riding Spirits, I think theres a review in the reviews forum somewhere?

There were no bikes in GTA3, but there was in Vice City! So I dont think the physics engine will be too much of a factor if they put them in there, IMO GT4's physics is better than GTA's. 👍 But I dont think they belong in Gran Turismo.

I did a search on altavista and I found this :
Gran Turismo 4 to feature motorbikes?! Well, that's the incredible news today, reports hitting the Internet suggesting that two-wheeled racing may well feature in the next in Polyphony's race sim series.
Speculation that motorbikes are to be a surprise addition to GT4 began to roll when Polyphony, which previously put a number of cars through their paces on a test track circuit for the sake of the game, apparently recently did the same with two-wheeled machines at a press event.

Adding credence to the speculation are comments, reportedly from Sony employees, that motorbikes will be included as a hidden bonus in Gran Turismo 4.

However, since the publishing of this news earlier today we've been contacted by a spokesperson from SCEE's UK arm who has informed us "categorically" that "there are no motorbikes in GT4." Ah well.

Well I kinda think that they will be in it, just like the F1 cars in GT3 they proably want to add something special at the end, and I for one wouldnt mind racing bikes, even though id rather just keep it to cars but if they make another mode just for bikes I wouldnt care almost like the rally mode and there "drift mode", Like I said I wouldnt care if they added them but aslong as we cant race them with other cars then that would be cool and with bikes it will deff make GT4 a bigger leap forward with more types of veichles.. Cars, Vans, SUVs, Trucks, Bikes.. deff a good variety for everyone to enjoy I say....
