Not only shows this, what the human body can withstand, but also how far the overall safety in racing has come, 20 or 30 years ago this would've probably meant major injuries or possibly even death instead of just "minor injuries to his hand"

Glad he's okay though, that was one nasty crash!

SUPER GT race at Sugo was a bit jumbled up last night/afternoon

The pacecar went right as the camera cut, and the field got going with all the cars in the pits. The Green Tec SLS and the Dijon GT-R were leading 1-2 in GT300 after this.

Crash from the Nurburgring, you can see the driver get out the car in the video and it says he is "gut".

What if you would open the 'hood'... Would it come down on its own?

Schwedenkreuz is not a corner you want to get wrong.

The moment you get air would be terrifying.

Spoiler'd for language.

Holy Ricky Bobby! Lucky for that driver that thing was so busy spinning that it hardly touched the ground.

Video is not showing up for me.

Only video I could find of it since it happened a few hours ago.. it's awful off-tv capture.

I agree with the commentators; that is the sort of slide you see in oval dirt track racing, not in NASCAR. It is an impressive save however, it could've gone far worse for him than just a unannounced pitlane trip.

I know it's being discusses everywhere else, but it deserves to be here.

The Porsche on top of each other? Yeah it was in Navarra circuit.

Navarra.

EDIT - Tree'd.
