The pacecar went right as the camera cut, and the field got going with all the cars in the pits. The Green Tec SLS and the Dijon GT-R were leading 1-2 in GT300 after this.

I agree with the commentators; that is the sort of slide you see in oval dirt track racing, not in NASCAR. It is an impressive save however, it could've gone far worse for him than just a unannounced pitlane trip.
