Well, if there'd been a bit more space at the apex it might have been a great manoeuvre, but as it was - it was just another example of somebody having a lunge and punting off somebody else in doing so.

And they race on it for 1000km...
 
That's madness. Where exactly are you meant to overtake a similarly paced car? There are dinky little chicanes at the end of both straights.
I guess the hairpin on the eastern most part of the track, at a stretch, if your competitor cooperates.
 
I've driven this track on rFactor. It is rather weird and I have often crashed at, well every corner, but that could be because I insist on using F1 cars.
 
It also strikes me as a track that could be replicated almost exactly in any location with a motorway interchange.

Gives new meaning to "you can only pass on the straights".

Looks like they just used some closed bit of freeway/motorway, head up the northbound exit ramp, make a crazy cut going west where you should only be joining the arterial east, descend down the southbound ramp, deal with a few hay bale chicanes, make an arbitrary hairpin like Avus, and repeat as necessary.

Looks like 1968-spec safety standards, too.
 
I laughed pretty hard at that.. That's just ridcioulous. Which one is in F1? I know Seb Sav is in Indycar.
