.....

A motorcycle racer is a noble breed, I am disgusted by this pile of filth.

My thoughts exactly. For those of us who watch motorcycle racing regularly, seeing a prone rider lying on a track illicits 'that sinking feeling' from the past.

What those riders tip-toeing by must have thought.....man, that's a doggish think to do.

As a rider (though not racer), I was seriously sick with this. You simply DO NOT fake injury, it's too serious of a subject for a rider.

Do F3 cars have "Launch Control?" :sly:

Donington today claiming BMW's. Second vid crash gave Winkelhock in the SLS the title.

Petter Solberg - Rallye de France — Alsace 2012

Big crash combining it through a crop of olives in backcountry France. You can hear Petter Solberg's car keeping on the power for some reason, trying to possibly get re-oriented on the stage, ends up slamming into a power line sitting most haplessly in his almost certainly blinded path. The chances, tough. The laughs, raw and turkey-like.
Truly extraordinary stuff. A rally driver's racing mantra, " If in doubt, flat out."

Engineer - "120, crest, open, left tightens to 4, grapes minus, open, yump 30 to power line maybe."

Helicopter footage of the incident on WRC's official site:

From an attendee -
"My village lost electricity."

Oh WRC, you so wacky.

Very stupid of Petter - he was lucky that not only he hit the pole instead of one of the photographers - but also that the pole didn't land on top of one of them!
Very reckless driving if he really was intentionally putting his foot down to keep going.

And that's why I love the WRC. But why didn't he stop? He just seemed to keep going and going, thinking that everything will work out.

His co driver was using apple maps.

Other scenes of the Apple Maps car in action.

Petter Solberg - Rallye de France — Alsace 2012

Afterwards, Solberg jumped out of the car, punched a bystander, and took $47 before the cops showed up. He woke up the next morning outside a police station, minus any weapons, but continued his business as usual.

Found this while searching for Bathurst videos. From the Formula Ford support race yesterday.

I see Rockstar Games have delayed GTA V for the all new Grand Theft WRC...
I loved the fact that Solberg kept his foot buried in the throttle all the way through and didn't think of slowing down when he saw the telegraph pole coming towards him.

If you watch the incar footage of Petters crash you a) can't see where to rejoin the road and b) the pole
