nowadays every stupid "pr ck" which fantasises with 20 inch wheel would love to have one.....
That doesn't shorten the list much.
Saab? Subaru Leone? Opel?
Something interesting I found. In 1979 a Ford Escort was entered in the Lombard RAC Rally. The entrant was the Subaru World Rally Team.

I was going to post the Lancia Beta Monte Carlo, but I don't think it's part of any of the big three

When traction control was banned from Formula 1 the last time, Ron Dennis was worried about losing all his electronics engineers. What did he do to stem the tide? And why might Williams stalwart Frank Dernie have been interested in this?

So, does nobody know the answer to this?

I'm guessing it has something to do with chassis design, since Dernie later moved to Ferrari and was one of Schumi's engineers... prior to that he designed the Williams' active suspension system, so amp88's answer may be more on track than mine

OK. Ron got together with his fabulously-wealthy friend, and between them they bought British hi-fi company Audiolab. They then turned it into Tag McLaren Audio, and designed and built some excellent, but fearsome-looking hi-fi kit. Think Bang and Olufsen on acid.

Audiolab have recently started trading under that name again, after being bought from TAG McLaren by International Audio Group, who own Quad and Wharfedale.

Frank Dernie would have been interested because he's a hi-fi obsessive, and has been pursuing private projects on pyramid-shaped speakers that are ultra-low wattage.

Next question then:

Petter and Henning Solberg are brothers who often compete in the same rallies. But when was the last time two brothers competed as drivers in the same team, who were they, which event was it, and what were their results?

Note: this does not include Gronholm/Rautianen (brothers-in-law), nor does it include Gilles/Herve Panizzi. In each of these cases, they are in the same car.

As a guess, I'd go for Colin and Alistair McRae. Possibly in a Subaru in the RAC Rally?

What car is this? (make and model number) And why don't they have sponsors like that anymore?

It is a Hesketh 308D. It was powered by a Cosworth and was used in 1976 by Guy Edwards in six Formula 1 Grand Prix events. Zolder (DNQ), Paul Ricard (17th), Brands Hatch (Ret), Nurburgring (15th), Monza (DNS) and Mosport Park (20th).

In 1999 Michael Schumacher, Eddie Irvine and Mika Salo all drove for Ferrari. Looking back over the previous decade, what makes this an interesting fact?

That Irvine and Salo are now retired as F1 drivers? Or that Irvine and Salo went on to emerging teams...?

No. The answer I'm looking for is that they all finished on the podium at the Macau F3 GP in 1990.
Someone else can ask the next one.
