you know, there's more than one country with A-something roads...

Brands Hatch?

I do know. That's what makes so hard.

No, not Brands Hatch.

Edit: Nope, not Monaco either.

Sting
Gotta be Circuit de Monaco
FIY, in France roads named A-something are motorways (or highways if you prefer), since A is the initial of the french word for it : 'autoroute'.
Monaco being a city track, it has no chance to use A-something roads.

:D Let's see if I can come up with something trickier than my last 'guess the racetrack' attempt. :dunce:

Okay, how many different Japanese manufacturers have won the BTCC drivers title, and of those, which manufacturer has won the title the most times?

4. Nissan, Toyota, Mazda, and Honda, Toyota has the most, at three. Followed by Mazda with two, and Honda and Nissan share one apeice.

In what year was 'The Chase' grafted into Bathurst's infamous 2-mile long Conrod Straight, and what was the cause for doing so?

The main reason was from Mike Burgmann's fatal accident at the bottom of Conrod.

I hope this one's harder than it looks:

Pedro Diniz's lap time for the '96 Brazilian GP was disallowed because he missed a weight check (and allegedly illegally used his spare car after writing off the first). What was his legal lap time?

1986, and the cause was too much speed coming off the conrod straight?
The crash was in 1986 but The Chase was added in 1987 for the round of the World Touring Car Championship.

I'm not sure I understand your question. You're asking for the time at which he qualified and was subsequently deleted, or the time he was "awarded" after deletion? If it's the last one, he was awarded a nice big dash (-), for no time. If you're asking for his fastest lap in the race, it was 1'23.576.

His legal qualifying time - not the one that was set with the illegal spare car, which ended up deleted for missing the weight check.

(hint: He crashed on his only legal qualifying lap)

My question's too incomprehensible, so I'll just give the answer. He was given a DNQ and fined $5,000 for failing to weigh his illegal spare car after having crashed the first one.

When he crashed, the marshalls attempted to push it behind the wall, but Alesi had an off at the same spot, nearly hitting them. They put out the red flag and put Diniz's car on a truck to bring it back around to the pits, and, because it was back in the pits, it had completed a lap - 7 minutes 43.183 seconds.

Attempt at a revival...

Give at least one incident where a driver has crossed the finishing line of a race in reverse gear. Not just travelling backwards but intending to travel backwards. Driver, race name and year, please.

Revival questions need to be easier than that :)

Come on then, what did you have in mind?
