This is slightly more along the lines I was looking for, but still not what I was looking for.

Northwest 200 is in May, so the TT is right after it and the winner is the king of the mountain. Also part of the British empire. Is it something like that? (I just don't know about who won when others fell yet.)

That is a solid step in the right direction. You're on to something so stick with it.

Is it the TT or something else like the Ulster? Also it is 2011 or later right? Because you said that it was more recent then Webbers crash.

It is the TT. FYI, Webber's crash was in 2010. (arguably, he had a worse crash at le mans).

:ouch: For not knowing when Webber had his crash. I'll say Cono Cummins. It is hard to guess 'cause so many people get injured each year.

OMFG I just watched the crash.

Correct.

Connor "did a jack and jill"
(non fatal but painful)

Luckily, he missed that wall.

Which can only mean that Ian Hutchinson is the King.

FYI, as Hutchie is the only person ever to win all 5 main races in a TT week, he is "King of the Mountain".

^^^ I actually yelled when I say the crash.

I remember watching it live. I was reminded of it when I watched "TT: Closer to the edge". The look on my girlfriend's face was priceless.

Your go.

A single victory in 81', did this persons glory come. Racing around the world far and wide, but narrow roads did this win describe. For rings of platinum helped them achieve, what was said could not be done by this breed.

Bob Earl, Macau 1981?

^ And we have a winner! Your turn. :)

In a world championship F1 race, a driver set the fastest lap.

(This is to be expected.)

In his first world championship F1 race, a driver set the fastest lap.

(hmmm ... quite remarkable)

In his first world championship formula one race, a driver set the fastest lap driving a car doing its first world championship formula one race also.

(Again remarkable but if it was the inaugural grand prix of the season ... all cars are new anyway)

In his first world championship F1 race, a driver set the fastest lap driving a car doing its first F1 race also, built by a team that was also entering a world championship F1 race for the first time. And it wasn't the inaugural GP of that season.

(Outstanding ... didn't Wolf do this too?)

(It's getting unbelievable ...)

(got it)

Who was the driver? What team did he race for?
