Championships
Here is a direct link if the preview is funky.

Constructors Championship Details
We are limiting each GT300 car to 2 entries maximum (both M6 GT3 versions count as the same car). We will then run a drivers championship and a constructors championship together.
Obviously to do well in the constructors championship, you must find someone to run in the same car, which can be difficult with the amount of GT300 cars available!
GT500 only has 3 cars, we will allow 3 car teams in GT500.
The constructors points will be awarded using the positions of the 1st and 2nd driver of a 3 man team in the GT500 class.

Race Calendar
Races will be held on a Tuesday, at 9pm UK time.

27/11/2018 21:00 (UK time) - Autodromo Maggiore GP - 26+1 laps
04/12/2018 21:00 (UK time) - Dragon Trail Gardens - 29+1 laps

(Thursday race) 20/12/2018 21:00 (UK time) - Fuji Speedway F - 35+1 laps

Race Format
Qualifying will be done on race-day.
Qualifying will be done this season using the Grouped-Super-Pole format.
Races will be ran with 2 classes: GT300 and GT500. Strictly 8 cars of each class.
These classes are not racing each-other.
GT300 does not have to move or yield when they get blue flags when a GT500 car is the one lapping them.
GT500 and GT300 are running in completely different championships, although a merged table will probably exist for fun too.
At least 1 pit stop is required to simulate driver change.

Grouped-Super-Pole
Each racer will get one single timed fast lap, racers are sent out in groups of 4 or so. Groups will be put together there and then and communicated via in-game chat.
Everyone else must be off track and can watch.
After all laps are completed, each racer must exit the pit and do a small warm up (to at least the start of sector 2, this registers your time with the game).
At that point the race procedure will begin and the cars will be put on the grid in preparation of the formation lap.

Formation Lap
The racers will all start the formation lap (lap 1) using a standard grid start, which ends with a SuperGT style rolling start.
The race doesn't officially begin until lap 2.
GT500 set off while GT300 wait for 30 seconds before moving and must maintain a 30 second gap with the GT500 group.
GT500 class leader must maintain a speed of around 130kph or 81mph.
No one must accelerate or brake harshly on the formation lap, this can, has, and will continue to cause accidents.

Rolling Start
At the end of the final corner, all racers must enter into a 2-by-2 formation and wait for the signal.
As we don't have in-game signals the signal here is whenever the leader decides to start racing.
The leader can not start the race until all cars of their class has entered into the 2-by-2 formation, the in-game mini-map is enough for this.
Even with all this, no overtaking before the start line!

Disconnected Racers
Races will get 1 single restart only during the formation lap.
If people disconnect during the formation lap, the race will be ended and we will wait for them to return.
If this happens again the race continues as normal.

Lag
People that are lagging excessively will not be able to race. Lag will be checked in any pre-season practice we run.

Pre-Season Practice
People are required to come to some of the practice sessions so we can check lag and practice the race-start procedure (GT500/GT300 split start, 2-by-2 formation rolling start).

Fuel Flow Restriction
We will not be running power limiters this season as it disproportionately effected pace.

Applying Success Ballast
GT-Sport uses % of weight when moving up or down. This makes small weight changes inaccurate.
The game weight must be set to at least the official weight.
Your car should never be lighter than the official weight.

Notes for next series
* suzuka needs a lower speed limit after 130R to ensure the grid can form after the awkward chicane.
* enforce penalties for people doing skids across the finish line, causing yellow flags on the end of the last lap, killing any last lap action.

I'll be on tonight for some pre season practice (practice starts, getting setups sorted, getting BoP values sorted, etc) if anyone fancies it. Add me on PSN as the lobby will be private. GT-Welsh.

Pre-Season: Fuji - Best Times Overview
This is roughly where we are, at the sharp end of the grid. I know some of us have ran a lot of laps!

GT300
Nearly full of fuel: 1:40.6** to 1:40.9**
Nearly empty: 1:39.8** to 1:40.3**

GT500
N/A (no drivers practised with us yet, public entry opening soon)

I think I will give this one a miss. Im even worse in the GT500s that I am in the GT300s.

CrazyJohn has moved to GT500. There is a GT300 spot available now.

It's worth noting, we are allowing people to alternate drivers one week to the next. So if you can't make it one week, get a replacement driver in! Points go towards the main driver in the series.

1:30's are possible with max/full fuel, 1:29's are the norm at low fuel in the gt500 class. 1:28's are possible i was just sleepy.

Nice :)

I'll add you on PSN so you can see when I'm on, won't be on till late tonight though, if at all.

I'm tempted. What time do you usually do qualifying on race night?
Qualifying will likely start at 9pm UK time and the race ASAP after that.

The qualifying format has been changed compared to season 1 to reduce the time it takes. Should only be 10mins or so. Then the race starts after a 5min break. Race will be 45mins ish.

Well then:

JoeOfTheFire - #27 - GT300 - Car TBD

My choice of GT300 may surprise those here who know me, but I don't get on too well with the gt500 cars and I like the close racing of gt3/300.

Cool :) glad you're taking part! Just as a reminder, M3 GT and RSR are taken.

Also worth noting I got the practice times without fuel a little wrong, they were a couple of tenths too fast, sorted upon reviewing screenshot evidence. miss remembered!

When are you thinking of running a test session?
For the moment just keep an eye out for test lobbies. Once our current series is over (M3WTC) we will get some proper organised practice sorted. Early November.

Race calendar confirmed. May or may not scrap the final race due to it clashing heavily with December celebrations, we'll see.

Update: 8th race removed. Calendar tweaked.

Official practice session will take place on the 30th October. Exactly a week before the season starts.

But as always, add me on psn (GT-Welsh) and keep an eye out for open practice lobbies.

Will keep an eye out. Will you be able to repost the required number and ballast decals please? Want to get my car ready :)
