Multiplayer racing line question

I've tried to race multiple times with friends in arcade multiplayer and every time the racing line fails to show up. It is not available in the driver aids selection before the race. Anyone know what to do?

Strange. The option should be there even if the host has it prohibited. With a reminder to turn it of before going to track

Are you talking about multiplayer (local/splitscreen) in Arcade mode or online multiplayer where you can play with 16 people?

Answer is, you can't. You are also limited views - only bumper and behind the car views. Also, no smoke .

I knew about the camera views but it's really strange that we can't have a racing line. Thank you for the responses!
