Multiple screen setup?

Do you reckon it has 8 different images on each tv when playing? Like front, rear, left, right and 4 corner point views :D it would be awesome to be immersed like that, a total 360 view point

No. That can be easily done by just splitting the video signal 8 different ways.

I'd be more than happy with that Logitech Driving Force Pro that's sitting behind on that table...

Forget the "total 360 view point". :)

I want to say this was covered before, but I don't think I remember. And I'll tell you one thing. Unless six people (you inlcuded) have money, I don't think you'll be able to play online with people having multiple screens. Have you done a search yet? I have a feeling it's been discussed before.

True...

I don't have room to get that immersed anyway, nor money. Rendering GT4 30 times a second seems to stretch the PS2 as it is, let's not ask it to do 700% more work.

Just a hunch, but I'm thinking that setup is for checking out the game on multiple style of monitors and displays. That was something I learned in school at AIPX. You always check your work on a variety of medium, especially when its a widely distributed item. This holds true even more when its something viewed on a monitor/Tv. Like, making a website. Its good to try to load and examine the page on IE, Mozilla, Safari.....just to see how each of them handle the page. Could be the same thing they're doing there. If you look, every set is different, with varying sizes, types, and aspects. Just my guess, but I'd say they're just checking their work.

You can do the 360 degree video immersion thing with the iLink broadcast feature in GT3. You just need to have 6 of everything.

In the video in the middle of Prologue there is a Subaru Arcade machine running a copy of GT4 and it has 3 screens on the front and the chair went up and down etc...

But I imagine that this might have been a slightly modified PS2 (or maybe even 3 of them) for it to work correctly.

If I'm not mistaken, the Subaru trainer runs off a hybrid/custom setup made from 3 PS2s linked through the Firewire port. And that's the cheap parts. The 3 DOF motion simulator runs somewhere around 30 to 40 thousand dollars.

I have two kids and they can be a pain in the .. when you're playing....Walking in front of the telly when you're just on a fast lap and so on....

So, anyone ?

But at least they grow up with a dad with a console passion ;)

Man, my dad always comes in and just walks in front of the TV to turn the volume on my computer speakers down, when you're on a hot lap it's so irritating lol

I just gradually turn it back up over the next few minutes anyway.
