ok, this is fun. very funny, indeed.
So, you want a noble. cool. I choose a 72 HEMI 'cuda to compete with your Noble. since the noble is 25 years newer, lemme put some 25+ years of technology into my car, rite? I want some EFI setup on the car, aluminum heads, some dry carter setup, a centrifugal supercharger, some boost controller, a brass radiator, ceramic-coated headers, a six speed automatic trans with overdrive and variable ratios right from my laptop. on the suspension pack, I want some multilink design all around, with some 4 piston perforated brakes squeezers. some minitubs on the trunk and on the front of the car should help put on the 9 inch front and 12 inch rear, 18 inch diameter tires and wheels I plan for it. a slightly upgraded wing outback will give me the stability I need for some good racing. yes, Im loosing MANY details, but that is about it. oh, yeah, some aluminum, fiber glass and carbon fiber panels and pieces, and perforating the car in MANY ways so it will be ass-light. Im ready, and guess what? it will get 20+ mpg, get to 200 mph, turn 1g+ on the skidpad, stop on a ****ing dime, have some 700 hp or more, very well controled thanks to some EFI programs applicable to many V8s rite now, some 800 lb ft of torque, so I will FLY out of the curves, Ill ad power steering too, some rack and pinnion, 3 turn setup will be nice. there is the car I will take against your noble. guess what???? it costed me HALF the money you used on your real ugly thing (the Noble IS ugly...) I have style, I have that "cool sound", and I have something that will KICK any europe-built thing in seconds. or anything you throw at me, for that matter.

unfair? why??? you picked a car that is 2 years old. wanna race my cuda stock? then get someting that can beat it around nurburgring that is 25-30 years old, and that is stock. oh, It is a street car, so no ferrari LM or **** like that. come on, pick one european car that can be as good in nurburgring as my HEMI cuda, but of the same vintage, street legal one, and stock.

Cano

Im waiting.

Yeah, but how much would that actually cost??? :p

Anyway, I don't mind muscle cars, there are a few home grown ones here, like the old Commies and Falcons...:D

Don't ya just love it when someone comes out shouting their mouth off and ends up whimpering home with their tail between their legs?

Okay on the subject of the classics, just cast your mind back to the 60's. As Milefile correctly pointed out the GT40's whoped ass at Le Mans and one it on several occasions. But if you go back even further to the early 60's and sports car racing in Europe one of the main competitors is shown below by Neon_Duke- an AC Cobra. It ine the championship

The ford Gt 40 and ac cobra were not american cars the Ac cobra was acutaly a english car that he imported to america to wack in a big engine beacuse america at that time could not design good handling cars to compete with ferrari so looked to england. The problem was with most "Muscle Cars" the chassis were always over streched and made this car very hard work for its drivers but and many people died piolting these cars.

Th ford Gt 40 The engine and badge are the only thing american about this car. This car chassis and body were designed in england beacuse us car manufactors could not build good handling cars to compete with european car compnays

Both cars some of americas great cars but even your own manufactors new that they could not make there cars handle that well
:) So had to look to others in europe for help

You bet it is. Those things look badass in real life. 200 mph, anyone? Acceleration that will roll your eyelids back? I'd own one of those in a heartbeat, particularly with a pistol-grip 4 on the floor.

Don't do something like that again. Ever. Understood?

You've lost this argument fair and square. If you expect to salvage any respect, do not resort to name calling, obnoxious links, etc. Cut your losses and learn from the experience.

Though I'm an atheist, I can only thank God that I had the brains to turn off "Show images in users posts" a long time ago.

Anyway, muscle cars don't suck, everybody has their own opinions but they need to be, ya know, backed up half-decently, and... right. Point anymore?

It is sweat and here is your best example in my opion of the muscle car looks good but i imagine the Viper and the Speed 12 will be very hard to drive I like your newer cars like the viper but the old 1960s and 70s cars look so bad like box on wheals. Very dated low tech cars all brawn and no brains are thos older cars
but that is by european opinion.

You really think European cars from the 60's were high tech? You've got to be kidding. The depths of your delusion know no bounds. Have you ever actually seen one or worked on one? Did you know every Triumph has three carburetors? One on the car, a rebuilt one on the bench waiting to be put on the car, and the nonfunctioning one you just took off the car that's waiting to get rebuilt. Ask someone who might possibly know why John Lucas is called "The Prince Of Darkness". Look... oh, skip it.

I'm hereby washing my hands of you and anything further on this topic. You know nothing, you wish to know nothing, and you're proud of your ignorance. Wallow in it forever more.

I'm done.

Sixties muscle cars may have been mostly braun and little brains, but European cars from the same time were no braun and little brains. At least American muscle could do something well.
