OK...I think the answer to Gil's question might be Wes Borland. (Flamboyant Fred gave me a clue)

The answer to Duke's question (I think) is Oingo Boingo.

Actually, you're wrong about the first one. Brian May backs up Freddie "My lifestyle finally caught up with me" Mercury in Queen. May is an excellent guitarist who was unfortunately overshadowed a bit by Freddie's, ummm, flamboyant songwriting and stage performance. I didn't know he played with a coin for a plectrum, however. There is a Guild "Brian May" model which looks a bit like a Gibson Melody Maker with a Flying V neck on it.

You are however correct on my question - Danny Elfman was the main songwriter and frontman of Oingo Boingo. I believe his first soundtrack work was Oingo Boingo's music for Wierd Science.

So, we're left with the proverbial 7-10 split. You go ahead and ask the next question, because I needed Gil's hint to get the guitarist one, but you came up with Oingo Boing all on your own.

I can only name one of the other guys. Bruce Kulick. If I pull out my boxes of Guitar 'zines I can find the other guy but I'll leave him for the others. (laziness reigns:D)

Yeah - that song was one of my brother's favourite songs of "that era."

How about this one - 'Which song is played in more movie sex scenes than any other song?'

Hint: The video for this song was recently voted by VH1 viewers to be the hottest (non-rap) video ever. Song came out in 1989.

Nope - another clue is that the song, though it came out in 1989, didn't actually hit until 1991 (when it spent something ridiculous like seven weeks at number one).

Slip. I think I've got a fair stab at the answer, but I cheated by doing some Google research. It didn't give me the actual answer, but it did give me a clue as to who it must be.

I'll let it ride a little longer, but if nobody comes up with it, I'll take my guess.
