Normally in races with high tire wear, it depends on which tires are wearing most. +BB if rears are wearing more, -BB if fronts are wearing more. I'm sure @Jwptexas or @RacingGrandpa can tell you more.
I run it at +3 when it's tire wear, sometimes+4 if it's really high. But it takes a little getting used too, the rear will be a little more slidey and you will get higher rotation. Remember to brake a little early too.

You got that mixed up. -BB if the rears wear, + if the fronts wear. The FR cars with a big heavy engine up front scrub the fronts so you move BB to the rear (+) to even the wear out. MR cars wear the rears first so you move BB to the front (-)
In FF and FWD you move it all the way to the rear.
Well I qualified 10th finished 6th first race BB lobby 40 points. It moved me up to BS so I did another race qualified 3rd finished 2nd. 68 points. I ran +5 brake balance.
