Redlines at 4000? Kinda low for that 6, I had ours at 6000 once... Although I know a lot of Fords redline at 4k but that seems kinda low...

Redlines at 4000, starts to bend push rods at 4500-5000, don't wanna know what's going on above that. Carbed 6's might be able to rev higher, but not an EFI 300. Completely floored, this thing will shift at 3700 rpm, consistently

Ah forgot it was EFI. Yeah I had the carbed one.

Alright, well stereo is on hold. Started pricing stuff and it was just too much for me, I'll stick with what I have.

Anyways, I'm thinking about some 100watt lights for the front of the truck. Off road lights, for the dark back roads full of deer and hogs. These are the ones I'm looking at: http://www.automatcentral.com/7-inch-offroad-lamps

Based on the reviews I've seen, and the price, I want to try them. My question to you guys, do you think they'll be good or are there better lights around that price? I don't know much about the off road lights

I've got a set of old KC lights mounted on the old Ford pushbar that was an option. I can't remember what they were though, HID, 50 series or apollo... They've got the look like the 50 series but they are bigger. Anyways, mount them on a chrome pushbar and make sure they are chrome with black leather covers and the rugged KC printed in orange.

EDIT:

Got 'em. They were the HiLites, the older ones. Get a set of these:

Then get a set of these:

And mount them on this:

Looks great.

EDIT: Pardon my terrible photoshopping skills but it would look something like this (had to use an older picture):

I'm possibly getting a brush guard for 50 bucks, but that might fall through.

I was thinkin that if I don't get the guard, then I'd make a light bar that come out between the filler panel and bumper. Or mount them behind the grille.

KC's are out of my price range, unless you can show me what those cost. The most I'll spend is $60 on a set, I'm not made of money  Has to be a 100 watt off round light too, none of the weak 55w because my HID head lights will completely eclipse their light

Well you can get other lights for cheaper but the KC covers will make you look like your made of money haha. Didn't know you had the bigger headlights on them, or did I haha. Forgot. But yeah, pick up something good. Good luck finding high quality stuff for a set under 60 though.

I'm just sold on the reviews for the lights I linked. They light up stuff 150 yards ahead! Picture proven haha

Plasti-dipped the center caps today, so now the custom wheels are complete

Fiona is officially a lifted truck now. In addition to the 2.5" level I put on last year, I just installed some 2" blocks last night. Got really tired of scraping my exhaust of the ground and having such a low truck. It's noticeably bigger all around like this, and now I need some 33's

Yesterday I also did up my new F-SUPERDUTY badges, and my XLT Lariat ones. Gonna have to do the Lariat ones in a deeper black though, or clear coat them. It started to rain so I had to let it rest for a while

And smoked my 3 rear clearance lights, took off my tailgate, cleaned the truck inside and out, and finally washed up the bed. It was a busy day

Personally I would have left the F-150 badge but now you are equal to the F250 height. You'll clear 33x12.5r16.5's all day long with no rubbing. That's what I run on my truck in the summer.

Also, if you do go with 33's, the 300 6 will turn them but you might what to change your gears to 4.10 (if it's not already) and swap in a V8 first or you are looking at 25-30 second 0-60 times. 4.10 gears or 4.56 gears are ideal for 33's. 255ft-lb torque isn't going to cut it.

TBH I still think my F250 sits a bit higher, maybe it's because the 235x85r16 tires on it now for the snow are so damn puny.

1 other thing, you may want to consider adding more leaf springs in the rear now. I believe the F150 has 3-4 in the rear, while the F250 has 6 on each side. Will hold 2 tons or more, beleive me I've done it

I could clear 33s before on just the leveling kit. Just not on stock wheels! I'll be heading to those in my next set of tires. Which judging how these are lasting, will be a while. I've put 30,000 miles on these tires, over 2 years, with a lot of mudding, and they are still over half tread. They amaze me!

I'm gonna keep the sixxer till it dies (oxymoron ) but 3.55s will turn 33s at the same effective ratio as stock with my 3.08s and 235/75s. I want a F250 rear end for the factory 4.10LSD and just to have beefier parts on here, and run 8 lug

I think 250s still have a little on me. This is still a 2wd truck so I started a little lower than the 4x4s anyway :(

If I get a lift, I'll do that. 250 leaves will raise the back of my truck 5 inches over stock... Until then, I'll stick to my 150 springs. And get new shocks lol because now all 4 are maxed out and were blown to start with

My tires last quite a while on 33s, I was suprised.

Them old 6's NEVER die lol. It will turn them but you'll be lacking severe amounts of torque. I've got the factory D60 4.10 8 lug on mine with a factory DS44 8 lug up front.

Remember, double the wheels, double the money, double the repairs.

Yeah you might want those XD

New wheels. 15x10, 4 inch backspacing, no center caps yet. They were polished aluminum (beat up) so I painted them really glossy black. My truck finally has the wide stance I've been looking for since I bought it 3 years ago

Oh yeah, guess I should add I painted the bumpers, smoked the corners, and custom made some clear lenses for my headlights, because the aftermarket doesn't make anything

Looks good. Looks like the front needs to go up another inch though. What size tires? Looks like wide 31's.

The front will be addressed with new springs. My stock ones are sagging a bit. I've got a 2.5" spacer up there and 2" block under the rear.

Tires are 31x10.50, just with a little stretch due to the 10 inch wide rim

How much more of a lift before you can clear 33x12.5r16.5s? 250 spings and aftermarket shocks up front might work.

What is your suspension up front? IFS with the coil spring around the shock or just leaf springs with a mono shock on each side?

I could clear 33s before the rear block, just needed the wheels so I could turn without rubbing the radius arms. I've got coil springs and a mono shock just behind it.

I can't lift the front any more than it is now without purchasing a lift kit. I need drop downs. I can go one size further up on adjustable camber bushings and then I'm SOL. And I'll probably have to get those when I put new stock springs.

2.5" spacer > 1.5-2" from 250 springs

I was saying put the 250 springs in with the spacer, unless you can't. I haven't really worked on those years.

That's 4 to 4.5 inches of lift. Can't do that without drop brackets. 2.5" is pushing it, I can't go any bigger without big expense :(

If I didn't care about the alignment, I'd do it. But this truck is a daily driver so gotta keep my tires in good shape!
