That would look sweet on your truck. When are you getting that push bar with the brush guards off that truck?

I wonder if Flowmaster 40's will fit on this truck. Or any Flowmaster pipes. You really gotta build that motor, it would be awesome seeing a built 6. Oh and because it's a model before 1996, you don't have to have the emmissions systems working or even installed. You can run that thing straight piped all day and it would never be illegal. It would probably loud as hell but really awesome. I know a 351W straight piped can make my house vibrate so it probably won't be too loud since it's a 6.

I believe F-150's are half ton trucks whereas the F-250 are 3/4. You could probably get a ton out of that old suspension and a few extra leave springs will get you probably a ton and a half for hauling. I know stock F-250 suspension like ours has had a ton and a half before so I'd imagine a few extra leaf springs in yours would up your weight limit.

Another thing that yould look cool is (even though it may be fake) is a hood scoop as seen here in the first image, the truck is all black. I know your not into the older styled trucks but a hood scoop like that would look pretty damn awesome on yours. (btw I REALLY WANT THIS ONE):

You should consider painting those mirros black too to match the rest of the truck. How is the chrome on it?

Already got flowmaster mufflers on my true dual straight pipes. Loud, but still nice. And the brushgaurd I'm just wainting on the shipping quote

As far as the hood scoop, I refuse unless it's functional, and they don't make any aftermarket hoods for my truck :(

Well you could cut a hole yourself but that's retarded lol.

This truck will be getting some needed TLC, well it's like 2 nagging issues, but still. Anyways, I'll have the cash to play with because I landed a second job yesterday.

I'll be working water box at the local drag strip here, Bradenton Motorsports Park!!

Spray bedlined the tailgate today, and put some clear coat on the roof and hood where there wasn't any. It's not perfect but it's much better than it was!

Here's the before. My truck really hides it's peeling clear coat in pictures, but you can see the before on the tailgate. Looks a ton better now. I hit it with a mix of bedliner and then rubberized undercoating on top

Don't worry peeling clear coat is common. Its all over on ours. We need a retouch lol.

My roof was totally gone, the hood is halfway gone. I think it looks terrible and now that I know it can be done with the rattle can and look good enough I'm set. Peeling clearcoat to me just looks like someone doesn't care about their truck

now, I'm used to peeling clear on Chrysler products (the peel tends to go clean down to the Primer, actually), but on Fords? not really. course, the ones I had rotted out first...

My clear is delaminating in a few places, but the blue color in the paint is still all good. Mine better not rot out!

Wow I wish the only thing we had to worry about in Michigan was peeling clear coat. If you had that truck here it's be rusted away after one winter.

Not nessecarily. Buffalo winters have hit us for 26 years and it's still in fair shape.

I have no doubts, I have a few rust holes in the back fenders, one in the bed, 2 in the tail gate, one on a front fender and one in the floor.

All are simple replacement panels except the floor. But lucky me I just happen to know a welder/fabricator that does an amazing job. And I've shadowed him before too for a high school project

I think you could probably get away with a decent size piece of stainless steel and a decent weld if your looking to not spend a lot of money on it. Then just replace the floor piece (rubber thingy that covers the entire floor if you have it) or lay the carpet over it if you have that. That's what I do and it'll be unnoticeable under the floor carpet/cover/mat and lasts a long time.

It's under my bedliner. I'm planning a full bed replacement, the rust isn't bad right now, and finding a bed isn't hard. They're like $250, and just patching my current bed would cost that anyway. Plus the smoothing and repainting

If you interior ever goes bad I mean.

Oh yeah the cab corner, gotcha. I've already got decent carpet, just haven't had a need to fix the hole yet. Plus then where would I run my wire for my AUX backup lights out of the cab at?

Today was a massive fail. And I'm annoyed. Finally got the adapter piece I needed to get my sunpro sender hooked up, did that, wired everything up, and it doesn't work. Anytime it got power, truck on or off, the gauge went straight to 100psi. Took it back to Advance, and after talking to the guy, am pretty sure I had a bad sender. The top post for the connection was loose and could spin, neither of us thought that was right. Anyways, got another one coming in tomorrow, let's hope it works! Good news is I've got the hard part out of the way, and all I'll have to do is connect some wires on thursdaay

Buy a sheet of plywood and put it in the bed. :p It won't win you any awards at a car show, but at least the rust holes will be covered.

The rust is all under my bedliner. I can see 1 hole if I lift the liner, but I can't realy tell about the rest. I'm scared to look :nervous:

Tried an idea today on my spare wheel and tire. I think it turned out great. No prep was done on this, just tape and spray. Don't care about this junkyard special wheel/tire combo. What do you guys think?

Before:

And here's just the wheel after, ran out of light

I think the stripes are a little overdone. To me it jsut doens't look right, it'd be better off covered entirely in silver. No offense or anything, it just don't look right (to me anyways).

I gotta take a pic tomorrow of mock up on the truck.

Here's where we'll agree to disagree

Wow I was wrong those do look pretty awesom on it!

I just hope the silver holds up as well as the black did. That's 1 coat of satin black on the wheels, over a year and no scratches at all. Lots of time off road. It's a b*tch to mask these wheels off!

Copy-Paste post from F150forum

Well kinda, I'm a broke college student and decided to imitate the expensive new wheels out there.

Here's how she sat before... And before the level, dang this is an old pic lol

Wheels off the truck, no centers

Little bit of masking... little over an hour invested in marking it with a pencil and then masking per wheel, ouch!

Then I sprayed the spoke part with a metallic silver (this is the quickly done spare in this pic)

All this culminated in....

I'm really thrilled with it, and entire project from when I first bought the wheels till now has cost me 36 dollars. 30 for the rims out of the junkyard and 6 in spray paint. Probably the best thing I've done to this truck for such little money! Just wanted to share. Whatcha guys think?

You probably want to clear the wheels so the paint doesn't chip off. I think Dupli-color makes a clear wheel coating.
