- You're crazy if you think
- I can afford either of these.
UPDATE(S)
1) Hit 145k on the 6 month anniversary (March 25), that's 3k miles since bought. Now I'm at 145,9xxx.
2) Got an oil change/chassis lube. Woulda done the oil myself, but I don't have the slightest clue how to lube a chassis, and I can hear how that helped now. Had to go back in to Tires Plus today to get them to drain the extra quart they added 👎 This is why I don't like other people touching my truck.
3) Got newish tires! Picked up 4 at a junkyard, $60 dollars total for tires after returning the rims they were on for refunds. Of course in the end it was a good $250 bucks to get them mounted, 1 plugged twice, find out the spare I had before was good for nothing so had to get the 4th junkyard tire, then was all set. I've got 2 All Terrain tires on the back, 2 H/T tires on the front. All different
4) Didn't need an alignment! Which is great! What's not great? I paid $55 bucks for the guys at Tires Plus to tell me this. They hooked it up to the machine, checked the angles and said "everything is all within spec." So my old tires are what made it pull... And pull it did, I could make speedy lane changes on the interstate without touching the wheel to go right.
Didn't see this before. I'll have no problems at all with bigger tires and the I6. It has more torque than the 5.0, lower in the rev range too, so if anything we should worry about the 5.0 guys with bigger tires

DJM makes "Dream Beams" which are $400, but that's still pretty pricey.
I'd be careful about putting larger tires on you truck, especially since it's an I6. I'm sure there is some math equation that someone can fill you in on to see what your limit should be.
