And this is why my rear 1/4 panel isnt perfect.

I was on the highway doing about 80mph when my rear tire dry-rotted and the belts from the tire kept rotating with the wheel smacking the side of my car until I was able to come to a complete stop. I got out and this is what it looked like.

Wow! I bet you a bunch of people thought you would be bad at drifting in that car during the old days, but it looks like a true underdog.

One day this will be considered rice... sad huh?

LOL, looks like a fun ride, wish I could find a 240sx somewhere 'round here. Only thing I can find is the FC down the street.

You spent 6 grand on a car with 150k miles, beat up panels, no rear interior, and not even the same color. What are you nuts?

actually i bought the car with just a miscolored hood, and dif. front bumper for 1200$

the 6,000 obo stickers are the ones i put on it when I wanted to sell it to get an S14 but I realized I would never get back the amount of money I put into it so i kept it and just painted it white... appearance isnt everything ya know.. its a drift car, not a show car

Well that's better then $1200 is the blue book on the car. What made you think you could get 5 times that amount for it?

Show car, drift car, it doesn't matter in the eyes of the buyer. It being a drift car will make the value less since you beat the living hell out of it. And actually in the resale market appearence is a lot. Trust me I've bought and sold cars for years.

because down here in south florida 240s are going for 4gs in the condition mine is in without all the extra goodies. I have over 4gs of parts in my car, so 4000 + 1200 + 800 = 6000 obo... but it all started out as a joke to why I put those stickers on. everywhere i would go people would ask me if im interested in selling my car, so I said yea, 6000 obo and they always stopped asking me... people think just because it doesnt have an SR its not worth anything. its white now, maybe I should put it back up for sale :p I buy and sell cars also, I've sold over 5 240s so I know what they go for

Anyone who would pay $4000 for a stock 240 like that has to be an idiot. I like how people ALWAYS add the cost of their parts and their own labor onto the selling price. Times change, cars take abuse, parts get worn, and so does the car. Do you know you can buy a S13 hatch or coupe with an SR already swapped in, and a stock LSD for $4000. Even all your modifications aren't worth nearly enough to jusitfy selling your car for $4000. I've seen alot REAL Silvias go for $5000 already modded, registraion is your problem. I've seen alot of 240's with alot more work done to them than yours with Silvia conversions go for $3000-$4500. Florida must be way out of whack...

my car has outrun bone stock SR20 swaps and keeps up with 210whp CA18DET hatches. (not that I care for drag racing any but I was just impressed that with little money spent my KA was just as fast as the other engines that everyone worships).. not saying its the **** or anything, but I like my KA better than a CA or SR. not only that, a stock KA will outlive any stock SR when driven hard. KA's are work horses, SR's are grocery getters IMO. Take it to the track and see which ones first to overheat.

and yea, its hard to find a good hatch or coupe with no body damage, even crashed automatic shells are listed at 1000$ now, its insane.

lets not have a big whiney thread, I just wanted to show you guys my drift car. it might not look the best, but I bet it can outdrift yours!!! Maybe I'll get some footage from this upcoming weekend at the track. For anyone in the South Florida area, Sunday, June 5th, Ter-Tech Inc. will be holding a drift practice at Hialeah Speedway. everyone is welcome, starts 10am-9pm / more info, http://www.ter-tech.com/

funny part is I live right by the chump. ;) just kidding, bud. haven't talked to you or been to sfldrifters in a while though.

Cool car. Theres a nice 240sx in my neighborhood with some mods done to it. All I know are suspension, exhaust, and turbo with a loud BOV. :D Every time he drives by my house, if I'm outside he will rev his engine when he passes me.

Nice ride! The 240SX has always appeled to me and I hear that they are passing Civics as the most popular tuner car on the market. To bad about your rear quarter panel... accidents happen.
