Man thats alot of DVD's. Quite an investment you got there.

Are they all original? :D

Man, you're crazy! How do you ever find time to watch them?! I've never bought a DVD movie, and I haven't even bought a VHS movie in a long time. Usually, after I see a movie, I don't really have any desire to watch it again, unless it's one of my favorites.

Here's the only movies I would consider buying...

1. The Fast and the Furious
2. Cast Away
3. O' Brother, Where Art Thou?
4. The Matrix (which I already have, because a friend gave it to me... :thatsodd: )

i love movie watching. Just some movies i cant get enough of so i buy them. Ne how i kindof made it a habbit of buying a movie every other week or 2. i just cant stop myself from getting movies, especally the ones i like.

i need to tell you guys what happend today. Ive been trying to look for the Indian Jones series but i just found out that ,director G. Lucas, does not have ne of the Indian Jones or even the old Star Wars on DVD!! only on VHS

Now that pissis me off. Man i wish he would just put them out on DVD. So im debating if i should just goahead and get the VHS collection or just wait (i dont know how long) for it to come out on DVD.  :( :(

2006 for star wars. Probably sooner for Indiana jones now that there's not going to be a fourth with Harrison Ford (probably at all, he's committed to projects until he's 64)
I buy movies just like you do, on Wednesday I should be recieving a digital camera via UPS. I'll post a pic of my collection. It should deter you from buying 1 or 2 a week.;)

Ok, I have been waiting for my digital, camera, and it arrived yesterday. This is the best reason I can think of to stop buying DVD's right now before it gets out of hand.
Mind you I have a few in my DVD player, and a bunch out on loan to freinds.

I used to rent, but it was taking me a week just to watch one move. 4 dollar rental, 12 dollar late fee. It was like that every week, so one day I just started buying them.

That's alright, I don't think anyone on here has near the amount Tom has:(

A word to the wise, stay away from anime series.
Robotech - 6 discs (more coming, probably 18 total)
Evangelion - 8 discs
Gundam - 10 discs
etc etc etc

That's what I'm saying. Buy into the franchise, preview all the movies you want, then stick them of the shelf for your customers.

Why do you say, "stay away from anime series"?

I just ordered the first two sets.

Only because when you get one, you are obligated to finish the series. (You can't go wrong with Robotech anyway, even if it was 50 discs.)

Example, yesterday I bought "The big O" volume one. To be continued. Volume 2 is out too, but I didn't see it. Volume 3 is on amazon for october 18th I think. It's neverending.

(Who am I kidding, I love it all:D )

Lately I've been buying at Best Buy and ordering online (mostly amazon) - best buy if I don't want to wait.
Most of the boxed sets were gifts.
20 or so were free (3 DVD players x 5 free DVD's(same 5 for the first 2 players), buy 4/5, get 1 free etc)
Saturday Matinee on occasion.
Many, many, many from a columbia house. Although I don't use it anymore.
And other alternatives scattered around.

oooooooooohh... About 100 or so.

I've bought over 20 DVD's but i dont watch them on the PS2, i've had a DVD player 4 over a year so y watch it on the PS2 and spend the money on the s-video cable and the remote and other stuff.

Ive been thinking about buying a Real DVD player but i see no use for a new one it right now. When i buy a new TV ill get a Bad A$$ DVD player. But for now i have my BAD A$$ PS2 to play my DVDs. But hey... my ps2 is a hell of alot better than a VCR playing VHS (a.k.a. 8track) picture.. hehe

:Poke: :Poke: :Poke: :teleport: :Poke: :Poke: :Poke:

by the way i just got another dvd
#48 Driven

:D My DVD collection seems to be growing... I blame Wal-Mart, and PS2... Wal-Mart for having pretty good prices, and PS2 cause well, its the DVD player!! I think i am up to 10 DVD's!! Growing every week!!! ;)
