I don't have any pictures of the piping yet. I would go out and do it now but it is getting dark. You will know what I am talking about so I can ramble on to you. It is the Buschur Racing street kit. It has 2 1/2" polished SS mandrel piping, upper and lower. I have to keep it old school with the good ol' 1G BOV with the atmospheric mod. In a few weeks I am buying a Turbonetics RS49T 50-Trim that flows 49lb/min, about 5 lb/min more than the TD06-20G. So she will be nockin on 11's door by the shootoutJNasty4G63Looks aces. Got a pic of the engine bay?? How is the piping?? What is the sizing??? Looks great though. Hard to go wrong with Spearco.

No I wont be painting it. I love it! I really don't care to be a stealth. I cant hide the fact that the car vents the BOV to the atmosphere and has an external wastegate so that takes away from the stealth. If the outside is left stock except for wheels, that is stealth enough for me.boombexusVery nice and clean. It looks to be a huge front mount.
Have you thought about getting it colored black? I can't remember the name, but I know that you can coat a FMIC black and have it still maintain its cooling efficiency.
It just adds to the stealth factor. Cus I know if you were coming up behind me, I could see that FMIC from a mile away. But hey, maybe your going for that intimidation factor.
👍
AMEN to that. Mine is the same way. Yes, you can see the IC pretty good. But, painting won't help anything. It hisses, crackles, whistles, and rumbles too loud for anyone to be thinking its stock. Like you, I have a big BOV setup to VTA, a loud, external WG, and a big, loud exhaust. Might fool someone sitting parked, but once moving, its all noise. AND I LOVE IT!!! But, thats also why I drive my Rubi all the time now. Much easier to deal with on a daily basis.TS1AWDNo I wont be painting it. I love it! I really don't care to be a stealth. I didn't even wipe off the piping after the install! Good ol' dirt and grime and daily driven funk.JNasty4G63PS - I like the underhood pics. No show, all business, true DSM thinking. 👍
I agree. That's nice.PunkRockCute.![]()
Actually, that's exactly what I love to see. Nice car. 👍
This kit comes with the Spearco intercooler, 2 1/2" upper and lower stainless polished piping with all couplers and t-clamps. 12" SPAL fan and coolant overflow bottle, and some other odds an ends like a larger throttle body elbow with a new gasket. The kit retails for $1,350 USD but it is one of the best in the market.VIPERGTSR01Nice one, how much does a FMIC and piping like that cost in the US?
Actually mostly all of the intercooler see's airflow. The core is only 8 inches tall so it only goes up to the bottom of the bumper reinforcement. I would have to guess, I would say 95% of the intercooler is what you see. This is the street core, If I were to buy the Race core wich is the same length and width, but is taller to 10 inches. For that core you have to do alot of reinforcement triming to get it to fit, and with that core you get alot of covered up fins.GaryRVery NICE! but it would be interesting to see how much of the IC is not exposed because of how its installed.
It has not been dynoed. It has gone a 12.6 but that was with the stock intercooler and piping. It should be down in the lower 12's now and I will have a Turbonetics 50 Trim on the way in a few weeks. With all that I should see dyno numbers of around 375-400 to all 4 wheels and should see some times between 11.8's and 12.2's. And yes it is an AWD 5-speed.infernoI have to ask, have you had it dynoed? If so What hp at the wheels? Is it front drive or all wheel drive?
TS1AWD
Is his car totally gutted and running slicks??? That is damn fast for that little power. Don't get me wrong, I'm not calling foul, I'm just boggled by that.TS1AWD.....On the topic of dyno, my brothers 92 GSX put down 418 AWHP and 377 ft/lb last weekend. His is a little faster than mine (high 10's).
haha yes that has always been there!infernoI just noticed your sig![]()
Hey, wait a minute, was that there before?![]()
Nope he is actually running a full weight car. Full interior, no cage, AWD with EVO VIII wheels and tires with 1.63 sixty foots. He is running a TD06-20G with VPC/GCC and a Stage III head and block. He has to run the car at 12 psi to not go faster than 11.50's so they dont kick him off the strip. They told him he has to slow it down or leave unless he gets a cage haha.JNasty4G63Is his car totally gutted and running slicks??? That is damn fast for that little power. VIPERGTSR01Yes 4G63.
The Eagle Talon, Mitsubishi Eclipse, Plymouth Laser and 91-92 Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 all shared the same 4G63. The Stealth and 3000GT were twin turbo AWD V-6's.infernoTurned around and spinning the opposite direction.![]()
(as compared to the evo of course)
The Eagle Talon is a Mitsubishi Eclipse. A few exterrior changes, but basicaly a clone underneith. I belive there was a Dodge version as well, or was the Stealth (3000GT) the only Mitsubishi to make it into Dodges regular line?
As compared to the Evo IV and later, but not all of them. The Evo I, II, and III had the same engine layout and drivetrain as the DSM cars. The Evo just used higher-spec parts throughout. Thats why a lot of DSM people use Evo III parts for a good upgrade path. Just clarifying that.infernoTurned around and spinning the opposite direction.![]()
