These are a 68 watt system with a 8 inch subwoofer. With two flat panel satellite speakers. Tell me what you think about them....i will not go home for a few days, so I i can't test them yet.

Well, I got to test them this afternoon. Ohh...I forgot to say that they are made by Cyber Acoustics. They are awsome for $50. The woofer sounds great for a PC system. I am going to have to put rubber buttons( little rubber sticky things) on the bottom. Even at low volume levels it will vibrate on hard wood floor. The two right and left speakers produce high and crisp sound. Over all I am very pleased with them....the only thing that I do not like about them is the volume control. It is a little wheel about 1/2 inch diameter, and looks a little cheap. Thats the only thing that I have a complaint about.

I got a 450 watt Auditek Mini Super Woofer System for my comp for about $40 bucks. Then my Dad nicked 'em for his comp and he doesn't even play decent music on his computer! :grumpy:

Its only for my computer. If I want to crank some music out I'll use me mum's huge sound system that she only buts on at around 8.

Hehe...I've got a pair of $30 speakers and a small powered sub on my computer. More than enough.

Now my home theater...that's a different story. ;)

I know what you mean. My speakers are rated 11w per satellite and 22w for the sub (I think even that is a touch optimistic). The maximum output is rated at 99 db at one-half meter (pretty loud, really). I rarely listen anywhere near the upper limit of the system - it can get fatiguing even at lower levels just because I'm sitting so close to the speakers.

What most people don't realize is how little power is actually necessary to obtain a good output level. If your PC speakers' amp can comfortably produce five or ten watts per channel continuously the system will still play to hearing damaging levels of sound (assuming a reasonably efficient speaker), given your proximity to the speakers.
