My PS2

It cant read blue bottomn discs! It makes these noises and I cant play a game help!

Well I was thinking it had dust in it but I'm gonna make sure it needs repaiered by SONY before I ship it in for 14 days.

Before you send it off, clean the laser lens. It might have dust or dirt on it.

No not take it apart. See if anything needs cleaned or anything.

On a normal PSX, next to the lens it says 'Do not touch lens' and my Playstation-freak friend said touching the lens can screw your Playstation.

It can, if you touch it with a finger you could dirty the lens. If you touch it with enough force, you could knock out the laser's alignment.

F1Man, will your PS2 play DVDs? If so, there is probably nothing you can do to fix your PS2 - it's probably a problem in one of the processors.

Its funny It can read GT3 just fine but its having a fit when trying to read F12002

Hm. Are those the only two DVD-ROMs you have?

The only 2 PS2 games I have is GT3, GT3 is a silver bottom and F12002 is the blue bottom.

Maybe you should borrow another PS2 CD-ROM...see if it's just the game or your console.

Well I think it is one of the prossesors thats causing the problem.

You could try a proper lense cleaner before sending it off to sony?

My friend had a problem with GTA3, all his other stuff worked and no matter how many times he took it back it still crashed..

Yet GTA Was a silver disc wasn't it....?
