Just made it out of a sheet of 1/4 inch acetal plastic. Did most of it with a dremel and a power drill. I measured out the bolt pattern for the shaft and drilled the holes. Then counterbore the holes so the screws would sit flush. Then all I had to do was make the holes around the outside edge that matched up to my quick release

This is purely made of epic win. I personally loving this more than MARC BOLAN's rig. Dont get me wrong though his rig is awesome too.

The black shifter is the one from Derek Speare and the H-shifter is the Lightning SST Shifter am I correct?

Ah thats cool. Those solders look pretty simple, what is that board? Is that the stock board? A tutorial would be awesome.

Capchaos, you need to go work for Thomas so all of us will have easy access to all these different wheels for the CSR Elite. That is some amazing work you are doing there.

So is that control panel just spliced from the original wires or did you find the correct quick disconnect from Grainger or whatever. I would like to try this mod if I just knew the precise plugs to use so that the mod would be fully reversable.

I extended/ spilced the wires from the wheel PCB to reach to my console. I didn't do anything the the wires from the base so if I decided to get one of fanatec upcoming rims I would just have to route the wires back through the shaft and just connect it to the new wheel. Would take me no more than a couple min to do it

Anybody know if DS is going to be doing this mod kit?

Not sure I gave him all the measurements It's up to him now.
He did however make me a sli pro tab with mounting holes to match up to the two holes above the shaft. Received that today.plan to install my sli pro tmarrow

hi, first of all great mod! and great job on fabricating the adaptor. i have 2 questions for you.

would you be able to give us the mesurements of the adaptor you sent to DS? when you take out the csr elite wheel rim, can you show us a photo of the measurements of the wheel shaft diameter inside?

do you have to keep the original csr elite wheel rim connected to keep this working?

I currently own a roso f1 steering wheel and it's on a gt3 rs base. before i take the plunge and buy a new csr elite, i would like to know if it's possible to fabricate an adaptor myself to fit my current roso f1 wheel.

or any more photos of your adaptor and the csr wheel shaft would be helpful.
maybe a tutorial for us all? thanks in advance!

Zejlko Roso of roso f1 wheels agreed that he could make an adaptor for the csr elite. but i will need the precise measurements and dimensions for the csr elite wheel shaft. would you be able to upload it somewhere please? Thanks!

capchaos, firstly, nice work!

Secondly, I'm setting about modifying my CSR Elite too. To start with, I've wired a FREX SHIFT+ to work with Xbox 360 direct through the wheel like you did with your DSD shifter, and have also ordered an SLI Pro and DSD Sli pro tab. How much wiggle room is there between the bottom of the SLI pro pcb and the top of the CSR Elite wheel base? I'm running a stock wheel for the time being until I figure out what I want to do.

I'm guessing that the buttons on the wheel itself are PC only, and the only 360 compatible buttons are on the upper buttonbox? I really need to keep stuff on the wheel itself, as I've already got a DSD button box on the way.

You should really put your works into production. They're amazing.
