So far any attempt at a two car breakaway hasn't worked.

And as I type this, Waltrip and Harvick just used it to get to the lead.

34 did push the 27 around, but I think McMurray's car might have played into that spin happening. I think the air might have been taken off the the spoiler of the 27.

I'm almost wondering if he blew a tire. There were a lot of sparks.

EDIT \/ This.

Nice big one.

Lots of flames!

Of course it looks better at night.

That could have been a possibility as well. Left rear. Usually isn't that many sparks in a normal spin.

And the first recipients of the Budweiser wreck avoidance challenge Are:

Jeff Gordon
Tony Stewart
Jimmie Johnson

No flat tire on the 27. Sparks were probably from suspension hitting the ground.

Thanks for Fox having super slo mo on that one.

I can't even remember who I picked, but I'm sure they were all in it. Just how my life works.

Ragan pushed on the left?

Yeah, and with the way the teams have the bodies positioned on the chassis with the rear off to the left, pushing on the right is the safer spot to push.

Edit: And back to Danica in the pit studio for her expert opinion.

Stop flipping talking to Danica all of the time. They must have more than 1 in-race reporter or that's just poor from Fox xD

They're right on Fox though, these guys need to bump and back off, come back, bump and back off; not stick to the bumpers for the entire race. It's way too dangerous.

EDIT: Agree about Danica, she can't be the most experienced reporter they have

Your picks will finish 1-2-3, then?

I think it's from bodywork hitting the transition between banking and apron. Look at how low the cars' ride heights are set and you'll see what I mean.

No, he apparently has the worst luck with NASCAR picks.

Ironically, I'm very good at it, at least, when I played in the past.

I just relized, the consequence of pushing someone on the wrong side makes the NASCAR stereotype actually amusing.

This is much better racing than the tandem packs were. 2 cars can't even stick together for very long because of overheating and a lack of communication with the ban.

Are they seriously turning Kurt Busch into the feel good story of the year? Really?

Yeah, Kurt Busch! Seems like I picked well, touch wood. He's making some waves out there.

Don't worry. He'll implode once he's at a track where he has to touch the pedal in the middle.

Only until he rages again, inevitably.

Don't like the guy particularly but it looks like he might get me some points. Gordon looks like he's moving up a bit, even after his slight setback.
