That was a huge hit, he's still not out of the car and the safety workers are surrounding the car. That didn't look good at all.

And they still haven't shown a replay, which is usually a bad sign.

Not one bit. Hopefully McClure is going to be ok.

They won't show a replay yet because of McClure still being in the car. That's why they are using a wide angle as well.

I'm worried for Eric Mcclure. Hope he's just been badly winded, like Robert Richardson...

Ok, good. McClure is safe since he's been talking to the safety workers.

I just hope he doesn't have any injuries.

Just a few years ago that wreck would have been much worse with grass in the infield and no safer barrier down there

There's no safer barrier where he hit...

I have DVR and he did hit the safer barrier, almost at its very end

Thank god for the Car of Tomorrow and SAFER barriers. If they weren't there one would wonder what would have happened to McClure.

I'm sure I saw a safety worker move his helmet away or Hans.

Why won't they show a replay?

They won't typically show a replay if there is any fear that the driver might have been fatally injured.

McClure is being sent to the hospital. I hope he is ok. :nervous:

And paved runoff and the HANS device.

And yes, how could I have forgot about those.

Skipped the infield care center and right to the helicopter to the University of Alabama medical center.

Again, not a good sign.

Never a good sign when they're airlifting him. I hope he's alright. That hit was huge. I literally stood up from the couch.
