Just looked up the weather at Talladega. Chance of storms on Sunday.

Just a business relationship.

Yep. If I recall, it actually extends all the way back to their respective founders friendship when they were running short tracks.

Edit: Tweet from Brad:

Checking youtube for any new videos from Talladega Boulevard. Heard that some beads were distributed...

Pure Win

That was a wicked wreck.

No sign of the engine or drivetrain near the car, aside from the air cleaner cover.

Edit: The hood is holding the powertrain in the car, barely.

Thats the most damage I have seen to a car in several years of watching stock cars. Hope the drivers ok... he's a debutant as well...

EDIT: he walked away...

What the....Why's newman's car being sponsored by Bass Pro Shops this weekend? I though they were Big Mac's primary sponsor?!

Jr shaved his beard! Bout time.

Maybe he feels a win this time, the race gods came to him in a dream.

Oh also Junior's beard is like a powerup item and after so many top tens it allows for a win :sly:. Yet you have to shave it to get said win!

"I almost won. That's close enough for the superstition right?"

If that was the case then it should have been gone after Daytona.

Because they are also a SHR sponsor. Whats wrong with that?

Nothing, it's just weird that's all. You're gonna see two bass pro shop cars out there this weekend. lol

We've had two Speed Energy cars before IRC, and there were two cars at Martinsville with same sponsors as well last year. Maybe Jamie Mac is running a different scheme?

There have been plenty of cars that shared sponsors, sometimes not even the same make.

There is also a slight difference in schemes.

Kinda already showed everyone that, bud ;)

I wonder if Kurt's car will flip for like 2 minutes like on the movie. Go to commercial break and come back only to see it still flipping?

Skip to the 3 minute mark.
:scared:

After seeing that ARCA race, I hope not. But I still would like to see him finish last. :)

Feeling good about Jr.'s chances. Also thinking to watch out for Kahne. I'd be happy with either one taking the checkered.

I do find it a bit funny a Busch brother would have a car that has "Me" on it, like it's all about them. That's regardless of if it's Kyle or Kurt. By the way, I don't watch too many movies, so I can't say I've seen "Talladega Nights."

I'm pretty sure this will be another crazy weekend at Talladega for Nationwide and Cup. I'll certainly agree that every driver basically has a chance to win. Just about everybody is a favorite. It's just about who survives at the end to take the checkered flag. So with that said, good luck and best wishes to all drivers and teams competing this weekend at Talladega.

ESPN on ABC is on a roll.

Returned from commercials.. time for more commercials.

NASCAR changes rules to prevent tandem drafting. Tandem drafting still occurs.

When I came down to my living room to watch the race, I thought it said, "Sunday, May 6th", and it actually scared me as I thought I missed both races. Then I realized it was Saturday. Thank god it is!
