How did he? Wasn't it drugs or something?

Jeremy Mayfield was banned because of his use of meth. I think Shane Hmiel was also banned for the same reason (Along with Aaron Fike If I recall)

Yep. Fike was arrested at King's Island in their parking lot and I believe he blamed it on his girlfriend. Other drivers were Jack Smith and Brian Rose (who were suspended for substance abuse).

Mayfield was meth.
Fike was banned when he was arrested for possession of drugs (I forget which ones they were.. might have been cocaine and a few others)
Hmiel was amphetamine related.

There might be one or two others...

Tim Richmond was banned in the eighties, but that was probably out of fear of AIDS.

All Busch had to do was walk away from that noob reporter. I wonder how pissed off Finch is?

If that worked, there would be no reporters. Also, Finch shouldn't be angry. He knew who he was getting. That's like taking Howard Stern to a Baby Shower and getting upset when he asks to see the women's breasts.

Hardly a noob, he was doing his job and he got a face full of abuse. What does Busch really expect as a driver in one of America's most popular sports? People are always going to be asking questions and regardless of what your views are, you've got to keep your cool.

Finch is more irate over the fact that the talented Mr. Bush has wrecked all of his cars and more in just about every race he's been in.

Bush will be let go because Finch can't afford to keep putting equipment under him... or Finch won't be able to sustain the team. One or the other.

Steve Wallace manages to finish the one race he enters without wrecking.

Kurt manages to crash more times this year then in previous years.

The end of the world must be near.

Also, found this:

Sure its hilariously old but after watching this and recalling all the races from start to finish, my mind was blown.

I still think its time that NASCAR starts playing fair with everyone. I think this reported should have been given a $50,000 fine and a ban for asking stupid questions! Let's be equal to drivers. Just to let everyone know I'm not a Kurt Bush fan never really liked him.

How is asking what it's like racing under probation a stupid question? It sure as hell seems better than the typical "how was the car" type questions we get 99% of the time.

Spot on.

Fair? This isn't Kurt's first warning and they are more prone to punish those who should know better. Look at the Lowe's team.

Look at the Lowes team! So what you are saying is that like Mr. Hendrick$ Kurt should have paid someone off to get out of his penalties, I don't think his pockets are that deep. If they would have sat the 48 out a race after the 2nd or 3rd time they got caught cheating it would probably have put a stop to it, but that didn't happen did it?

He paid them off? That's a bold claim to make. A claim that is actually against the AUP. Do you have anything to back that up with, or is it just heresay?

Also they did suspend Kanaus twice for that, and had the team pay a big fine each time. Obviously there was enough reason to appeal and win it, hence why they got off. That easily explains why it didn't happen. The driver doesn't tell the team back in North Carolina or his crew chief that has oversight to do such things. So why sit the car out? Why punish the driver for an infraction caused by his team. Taking away the crew chief is punishment enough to that driver.

And the funny thing is, he and his team actually expected a spot in the chase this year too!

If Kurt wasn't acting and driving like a chicken with it's head cut off, he might very well have made the chase.

Tony would be....

Misleading title. Tony said he "liked" Kurt's answer. He never said anything about defending Kurt.

Man, I can't remember the last time I read a media story that didn't have a misleading title.

Here's what I'm talking about and it seems Tony agrees:

I understand what Smoke is saying but to be honest, why does he think these questions get asked anyway? The reporter asked the 'tabloid' question because that's the kind of thing that interests people. If reporters went round to every driver saying only, 'Well, how was the car today?' it would, A) Be a ridiculously easy job for the reporters and B) Make for extremely dull interviews.

Maybe its just me, but don't they do that anyway?

Yeah, sometimes they do. When they try and ask something vaguely different they shouldn't really be met with a barrage of abuse.
