It's bad luck to be superstitious.

And yes, when they showed the stands there were alot of people dressed as empty seats.

Well clearly they didn't fool anyone by saying they were there :dopey:.

Speaking of Jeff Gordon, ever notice a pattern that he has had?

2007 - Good year.
2008 - Bad year.
2009 - Good year.
2010 - Bad year.
2011 - Good year.
2012 - Bad year.

So 2013 - Good year?

AMAZING YEAR.

Well, that's a little biased coming from a fan. :D

Nascar would not be in the situation they are in if they had not implemented the chase, and Johnson winning 5 straight championships.

F1 is just fine, even when Schumi was spanking everyone. Don't blame Johnson being the best for any of it. It'd be no different if it was Joonya or someone named Petty who won 5 straight.

Awesome news. Now if only Chevy would show their car anytime now.

Someone has put "the car is heavy" joke on Jeff Gordon's wikipedia page

Its at the end of the first paragraph, "Early Career". Anyone with a wikipedia account want to remove it?

Joonya nation

I know, an actual name would be nice though. lol

EDIT: But seriously they couldn't come up with a better model name than SS?! That lacks character!

*cough*

Now that has character, but it also has a model name, isn't that a Nova? A handful of Chevys over the decades have been given the SS designation along with their model name. The "new" Chevy SS has a model name also, it is an Australian Holden (Chevy) VF Commodore. The "newer, new" American made Chevy SS is slated to be a 2016 model.

Chevrolet... there's been the Chevelle SS, El Camino SS, Camaro SS....

Silverado SS. Cobalt SS. I think there was a TrailBlazer SS, too.

Pretty sure the car I posted was sold in Brazil simply as the "Chevrolet SS".

Was also made into a Hot Wheels this year.

TV rating at it's lowest for Indianapolis over the last 4 years. Considerable drop-off compared to last year.

Although it's probably due to the Olympics.

Edit: John Wes Townley will be in the #32 Ford this weekend at Pocono in the Cup Series.

Brace yourself for cautions.

It didn't help that Olympics are on, but I think the racing at Indy is boring to most fans. It seems stands were empty as heck for this super weekend which I actually would have enjoyed going to.

Pocono isn't much better, I'm curious to see how Joey does in round 2 here.

Why exactly was it called "Super Weekend" to begin with?

4 races in 3 days with Rolex, Contiental Tire, Nationwide, and Cup all at same track for first time. It was basically a failure as far as for fans who showed up for weekend.
