McDowell and R.Gordon are the ones that made it in. Not sure why Gordon was thanking Danica on the radio though...

He is locked in from his qualifying time, not sure why the SPEED commentators made it sound like he wasn't.

I just came home form school with 5 laps to go in the 1st duel. Hard hit by Danica, really glad shes alright. Anyway, is it true that Bayne didn't make the 500? That woulkd be disappointing. :(

He blew his engine on the last lap I think. Caution saved his ass, but he said in the interview that he'll have to work out a deal with Penske for a new engine.
 
Trevor Bayne was fastest of the ones that needed to qualify based on their Sunday qualifying speed. He was going to be in the 500 either way.

Well at least Tony being my second driver makes it better.

Guys, Bayne's already in. This is right from Jayski:

#21-Trevor Bayne and #30-David Stremme from Duel 1 and #26-Tony Raines from Duel 2 are already locked into the Daytona 500 since they were the three fastest non-top 35 qualifiers.

Doesn't change the fact that Kenny won't be locked in and will have to race his way in. I really hope he makes it.

I tweeted them that their audio was off.

They said they are working on fixing it.
