Oh sorry:lol:

Nothing's really official, but according to Nascar Racehub, Logano is close to setting up a deal with Penske Racing next year.

I see Kenseth taking the #17 perhaps to Stewart Haas in place of Newman, and Stenhouse in the #6 at Roush.

That jackass who still threw that shoe out on the track should be banned for life from any race track. Did someone in the crowd hated so bad to see somebody win or lead (let alone Danica) that somebody wanted to directly affect the race in this way?

Probably because Villeneuve wasn’t leading. Just watched that race today and Justin Allgaier made a great pass for the lead.

In my honest opinion I believe Matt is leaving RFR because he's tired of playing second-fiddle to Carl Edwards. Matt is obviously the most talented driver on that team. Does Carl have a Championship? No. Does he have two Harley J. Earl Trophies?! Hell no.

EDIT: Yes, I agree with you Furi, I hope Matt can somehow keep his number!

That nose screams sexy. Can't wait to see the Penske Fords.

^^^^That is a pretty badass looking car.:dopey: The blue deuce is going to look superb with that body:tup:

I just don't see Logano being with Penske at all and I don't see a reason why Penske should accept him. I very strongly think Gibbs needs to put Logano in Nationwide full time (preferably in the 20) and have him in there for a couple of seasons. Its worked wonders for Hornish because he's driven far better then he did back in 08' and it would boost his confidence just as much.

As for Kenseth being at Gibbs, I'm not surprised that its a done deal. I'm betting Dollar General and Home Depot had something to do with wanting Kenseth over Logano.

Kenseth stated a while back that he's been signed with a team, buy doesn't want to give out any info. Was hoping it wouldn't be JGR.

In this day and age, it's more about marketability than overall talent. Guess the sponsors love him.

Not saying that Logano doesn't have the skills, but he reminds me of David Reutimann, only younger. Flashes of greatness but moreoften, you'll hear his name for the wrong reason (crashes, gets lapped, etc).

It's not that he doesn't want to, it's that his current contract at Roush-Fenway doesn't allow it. His hands are tied.

I think it would be great if Hornish Jr. stayed in the #22 for 2013.

IMO he has done a great job so far after being thrown unexpectedly into double duty, I think he's earned another chance at the Cup series.

I think it would be great since Sam has a rivalry with Danica and she has been handed a Cup ride next year.

Totally agreed.

+1:tup:

Sam's done a great job this year I'd love to see him in the cup series.

Danica in Cup next year is going to be a big mistake. Her results in the big series so far say it all.

She needs at least another full season in Nationwide. Shes had good runs this season but crashes and such ruined the final result. I honestly think she could contend for a Nationwide title in 2 years.

She is being rushed into Cup way too fast.

Agree totally. Exactly why I said she was handed a Cup, and not earned a Cup ride. Kind of dissapointed at Tony for moving her up so fast.

I agree she needs another 2-3 seasons in Nationwide.

You can't fault Tony Stewart the team owner for putting her in a car, when GoDaddy.com is waiting to write him a huge check. If he didn't do it, someone else would have (Roush, JGR, RCR, MWR, RPM, and EGR are all under the current 4-car limit). Tony can't let free money walk out of his office, or he's a terrible businessman.

Tony is supposed to be her mentor. What kind of mentor brings their student to the top when they clearly aren't ready?

Is it more important for Tony Stewart the driver to make Danica learn the slow and steady way for her own good?

Is it more important for Tony Stewart the businessman to maximize this opportunity to profit on the investment of GoDaddy into his race team before someone else does (and they will if he delays her entry to Cup)?

Is it more important for Tony Stewart the team owner to make sure his race team all has a steady paycheck next year, especially with the sponsor uncertainty surrounding Ryan Newman's #39 car for next season?

Of those three, doing what is best for Danica seems trivial.

Put yourself in Tony Stewart's shoes. He part-owns a team and owns the car of his teammate. His teammate is having sponsorship issues and is not guaranteed a Chase spot this season. On the other hand, he's got a very marketable, partly-talented and attention-attracting driver in the name of Danica. Tony for sure cares about money. Who doesn't? But what does Tony need now. For sure a Daytona 500 is the top of the list but the fact is, he's done everything he wants to do. He's partly racing for fun right now. He's won a Championship with the #14 car and that's his fourth to date.

Despite Danica's incapabilities, I think Tony's decision has already been made for him.

So Tony is putting himself, Danica, and the rest of the field in possible danger by moving her into Cup so fast is trivial?

Tony is going to need all that Go Daddy money to fix all the wrecked Go Daddy racecars he will have.

It was a weight that fell off the car though.

I wonder if say, it happened to someone out of the top 20. Would the penalty be the same, or would Nascar throw in a point penalty? Just seems like they didn't give a point penalty because they didn't want to affect the wild card.

Maybe the lack of a points penalty here is to make up for the fact that NASCAR screwed him out of a win by not throwing a caution at Watkins Glen.
