In my perfect world, it would rain on Monday until about 1:00, then from there they could dry the track until about 3-3:30,
and start the race at about 3:45.

doubt that will happen. if they do race tomorrow it's going to be at the earliest 7pm and i doubt nascar will want to run it that late

National Weather Service says 70% chance.

:nervous:

God I hope the rain holds off, I woke up at 5am for the Nationwide and 4.30am for the 500. I don't think, I've got many more early mornings left in me.

According to ESPN officials are going to wait it out and race at night if they have too. So my bet is they'll get it in tomorrow night :fingerscrossed:

Worst case scenario it's going to Tuesday, I think, because that's what R16 is saying.

I heard that but it really doesn't matter whether it's on Monday or Tuesday but there is still a chance of rain in both days. Just finger cross really as it's really difficult to predict what would happen.

But whatever they do, the race starting at night might not happen unless they got the permission from TV coverage and the drivers are willing to.

Shame, I'm pretty sure I'm not going to catch it as I have something important tomorrow morning. I guess re-run would be fine...

If it's tomorrow, more than likely it will STILL rain and they would have to shorten or delay the schedule.

Not to mention how dead the track would look with few people in the stands.

At this point I don't expect anyone to be there, and I'm sure NASCAR doesn't either.

It's not like they can control the weather. It is what it is. :)

Wouldn't be surprised if it rained despite what NWS posts.

I'll bet you it doesn't. ;)

Just looked at the forecast myself and its 20% chance of rain tomorrow. Looks good that we'll be able to get this in either tonight or tomorrow afternoon (although they may do a 10 AM start if they don't race tonight).

So I come home to watch the race at noon, and Family Feud is on instead. I thought I was about to loose my mind. Then I went to NASCAR.com I realized the race was postponed until tonight. Sadly, I have night classes. :(

Better not run tomorrow. I have school and work on Tuesdays.

Guess I was wrong about them not running it at night.:dunce:

Hopefully it gets delayed until tomorrow, or at least SPEED replays it later tonight or tomorrow as I would like to watch it before finding out who wins.

I'm betting brad and the dinger have the most epic final lap ever, and you'll miss it.

Speed shows replays on Wednesdays at Noon EST.
