I can think of so many jerk incidents that both of them caused. Here are some that come to mind -

Miami - Kyle Busch wrecking Ron Hornaday, ruining Ron's chances of a Truck Series Championship.

Miami - Kurt Busch swearing at Jerry Punch in the infield.

Daytona - Kurt Busch intentionally wrecking Logano and Bayne causing a massive chain reaction that cost Logano or Stewart the race.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of either of them!

Every year since they reconfigured LVMS, someone ALWAYS flies into the infield and catches some air.

Omg. I'm watching the nationwide race and mark Martin had an incredible side.

All because he won the championship 5 times in a row? Last I checked, he wasn't the first nor only one to do that. I get that everyone got tired of it after a while but come on, Tony stopped his run, end of story. I'm no fan of the guy because it was just as annoying to me as everyone Making Kyle's wins in every series seem like it was significant but frankly, I see no point in repeatidly dragging it back up. It happened and its done.

NO SCREW HIM. The Stupid Chase allowed Jimmie to steal Gordon's chances of winning more championships, wonderboy should be a 6 time champion. He should be going for his 7th title and preparing himself to join the 2 legends (Earnhardt & Petty) not Johnson.

Jeff Gordon>>>>>>>>>>Jimmie Johnson, any day of the freakin week.

They need to completely redo the track again. It's been 5 or 6 years since it was reconfigured and it's already filled with bumps. Not to mention many of the infield walls have odd angles to them. The grass on the front stretch isn't level with the asphalt. The catch fence needs to be reversed so the poles are on the outside of the track and not facing the track like they are.

Yes, that definitely played a part in the you-know-what incident.

For once I agree with you, without the chase Jimmie would still be a champion but he would not be 5-time.

I remember seeing a list of champions based on the old points system but I can't find it now.

According to NASCAR Now on ESPN2, Dodge will be announcing who their team will be next season.

You guys do know that you can't just say that Driver X would have won under the old system when everyone knew ahead of time that the old system was gone, right?

Everyone started the year knowing what the new rules were, and thus, they didn't have to try to be #1 in points at the end of 26 races. They knew that they could experiment with setups, and simply focus on the last 10 tracks. They probably dedicated most of their testing time to those tracks that are most similar to the final 10 races, relying on their previous notes for the first 26 races. Who's to say that Jimmie Johnson/Chad Knaus wouldn't have spent more time improving their setups/finishes at the other tracks, instead of being so focused on those last 10 races? There is no way to know, because everyone started the season with the mentality that all they needed to do was make the top 10/12, and then turn it up a notch to win. They did that, they are the champions.

LAS VEGAS -- Roush Fenway Racing has the past two Daytona 500 winners and the defending Nationwide Series champion in its stable. All of them are in the top five in their respective series points standings.

None of them have a full season of sponsorship.

---

That astonishes me right there.

I suppose most sponsors want to be on the sprint cup cars. From the Nationwide races I’ve watched on Motors TV not a lot of people go to watch the race at the circuit. I can’t see why though as the races seem rather interesting from my point of view.

Sometimes I enjoy seeing Edwards win just because of his backflip .

You'd think the defending champion of the series would have sponsors swarming to be on that car.

You'd think the last two Daytona 500 Champions would have sponsors especially Bayne with the Cinderella Story tale of his.

Kenseth is not necessarily a fan favourite which might be why drivers like Kyle Busch go out and get a massive full-time sponsor like Monster Energy to sponsor him for a full season.

I remember going to Talladega last year and there were three merchandise haulers heaving with people. Kyle Busch, Junior and Patrick. There were three haulers with no customers: Kenseth, Ragan and a few of the low-budget teams. It is common knowledge that Kenseth does not have too many fans so maybe that might be a factor. Some people also consider Bayne to be a one-hit wonder but he's now a superstar on the Nationwide tour.

Sad times for the NNS guys.

The invocation is on right now, so about 10-20 minutes.

They're doing opening ceremonies now, so probably within 10-20 minutes.

Edit: Tree'd.
